No wonder you're not getting any replies. Post a pic and learn how to describe the mushroom properly. ARe the gills adnate? What kind of odour did it have? What was it growing on?

Squeeze the stem them let it dry. If the stem brueses
blue then you have something

it didn't smell. I don't know what adnate means. It was growing on a pile of woodchips in a grass field

Some mushrooms caps do turn blue Russ, but I think guy is just full of wishful thinking!
