@Shroomeeee
Yep just mushrooms doing their thing if you leave them to maturity. Cubensis has purple/brown spores generally, welcome to mycology!

Hello! Can anyone suggestions on this contam, circled in red? Hoping there is a solution to save the rest of these two tubs since the affected area is still small right now. Thank you so much!

That seems a bit slow and the growthseems a little whispy but it doesn't look contaminated.
What's the temperature of the room? And how much spawn to sub material did you use?

Posted this weeks back. Never tossed it, because wtf is going on lol? Kept it out of the grow room to observe, and it keeps growing.
This bisporus spawn has this lion's mane looking growth. Any ideas on what is going on?
MSS was from a reputable vendor...what contam is it? Should I just kill it with fire?
I've since been doing prints (no mss).

Hello to everyone. First monotub going on and it looks like I got the dreaded contamination while fruiting. Now what? Any way to salvage this? The only option is to throw it away? Sorry, I'm a newbie, a friend of mine guided me through the process and brought me her jars for the monotub, just started reading.

Its fucked. The pinset isnt worth even trying to milk it anyways. Rinse, repeat...literally. Only better spawn this time!

Any way the spawn could have been mislabeled? That legit looks like a lions mane!

I see. Thank you for your answer. Bummer...
What about the shrooms that have emerged? Avoid harvesting and consuming them? Just throw away the whole substrate as is?
What about burying outside under conpost? This is only possible for cakes that havent fruited?
Sorry for the many questions!

i set the room temp to 23degree, 1:1 ratio coco coir mix vermiculite, it was very fast colonizing in the jar, but after going into the bin. it was so slow.

You can take the mushrooms outta there and make a tea probably but those little guys aren't worth it in my opinion. How did you prepare the coco/verm? All signs point to bad spawn so your friend that gave you the jar probably needs to work on her sterile procedure. Also you should make it all yourself if possible. It's way more rewarding and you can make sure things get done properly!

Let the tub fruit, the mushrooms will be fine. If it's all you have then let it run it's course and get something out of it.

Run control bags from the pc that you leave on the shelf, they will either contaminate or stay clean so you can generally tick that off the list. Next would be your inoculate, transfer to agar and check the cleanliness.
