im going to assume it is carb'd, And the rev problems are most likely carb related. Your leak is probably there too. Or at least that is where i would start the trouble shooting.

Replace the carb. Easy to do, just replaced the one on my husqvarna today. If I leave mine sitting too long I leak bar oil.

Or a fuel hose cracked. You should just have a few sizes of fuel line for small engine shit in your garage

Is this something I can do by myself? The most I've done before is change the blade & chain. I guess I'll look it up on YT. Thanks!

Taking the thing entirely apart and putting it back together is something you can do. Its a super simple small engine
