We got some cow poo casings spawned with grain but will they stink till fully colonization or is there a way to reduce it and is it bad for health if you sleep with them instead of your girlfriend?I mean I don't allow them sleeping in my bed but in my room.

If your poo has been leached and dried correctly it shouldn't smell TOO strong to begin with. Anyway, poo will be poo, and that means that it will smell to a degree. You shouldn't have to wait until full colonization for the smell to subside. After the myc's had a chance to start colonizing it a bit it should take on a earthy/mushroomy smell. Best of luck.

Manure that has been prepared right smells just like a great compost.

It doesnt have a 'poo' smell at all.If you smell any thing other than a dirt(earthy) smell, the manure needs to be leached a little more to remove that stuff thats causing it to smell bad.
Did you read this VVVV

Good Tek!!

Here is a pic of some horse manure that I collected while it was still steaming(the freshest),after it had been leached by spraying with a water hose for two days, then allowed to dry naturally in the sun.It has no smell except for an earthy, dirt smell!

it wont hurt anything if you keep it near you or in the same room, some people keep them in their kitchen!

I hope that helps

Sure ;I've read all the stuff before and that's what I do ,however if you have a quantity of them the smell increases especialy when you have large casings with an amount of poo sittin together and talking about the old days.I have also some in my kitchen :wink:Another thing is after you prepare your poo(dried and so..)it starts smelling again a little bit when mixed with water, anyway.
Thanks though!
