We’re more free than ever to buy unnecessary shit, frying out our eyeballs on screens while attempting to live vicariously through their images. More free to gorge on processed garbage foodstuffs, grow obese and die from the terminal illnesses brought on by our sedentary lives, old and gray and pissing and shitting ourselves in a miserable hospital bed. Insured to the hilt, secure, complacent, our idea of what constitutes freedom contracting to a pinpoint.

You have the freedom not to live that way.  You don't have to buy unnecessary shit ( I don't), you don't have to try to live vicariously through the lives of others via screens (I don't), you don't have to eat like shit and be sedentary (I don't), you don't have live in a way that is liable to put you in a hospital bed at the end of your life (I don't). You don't have to be complacent. In addition to working, I give away my services on a volunteer basis 4-8 hours a week. I'm not trying to blow smoke up my ass, but people do the things you're describing because it's easier. Many of those patterns of behavior are arguably the result of Americans having "too much freedom for their own good", even. But it's more complex than just "too much freedom", of course.

when people say freedom there is always a specific thing it's implied they have freedom from. what they basically mean by freedom is "the range of behaviors I can exhibit without fear of consequences from thing X". in this case thing X is the government/police/military/etc.

It's simply a fact that that range of behaviors is gotten larger and larger over time. There have been setbacks, to be sure- prohibition being an obvious one- because there's always a group of people trying to set us back- ironically, the same people proclaiming American freedom from their rooftops tend to be the ones who want to restrict it- no abortions, no gay marriages, drug prohibition, no allowing private companies to deny service to people they don't want to provide services to (except when it's a christian bakery denying a wedding cake to a gay couple) etc.- the only "freedoms" they really care about are free speech and having guns.

I'm not sure if it's happening more and more, or if I am just noticing it more and more, but a theme I keep seeing is that those who express paranoid delusions about other peoples' thoughts and behaviors are very often just giving descriptions of their own behavior. It's as if there is the part of the brain that makes them aware of what they are doing, and then this weird "no u" circuit that reverses the subject of the description, and the PFC then just confabulates a story about the other people.

the internet makes this process of confabulating the story into a game. the neatest "connect-the-dots" wins. It feels SO GOOD when you connect the dots. And it feels so undignifying when the things you loudly proclaimed would happen do not happen. There are two reactions to this: attempting to fade into the background as the truth slowly sinks in, or repress the lack of lack of dignity you feel by doubling down.

You’re really not free to live however you want in a consumer society. You are a consumer, you engage in the activities a consumer engages in. If you didn’t, you wouldn’t be part of this society

You're making a lot of assertions. We've never met.

here are the things I "consume":

Gas, so I can drive back and forth to work (where I attempt to save peoples' lives) or volunteer work (where I do the same, but in a slightly different way)
Food/Water, so I can live
the internet, so I can learn things quickly, and participate in the social zeitgeist

I pay for certain other things, like
1) a cell phone bill, because I like having a cell phone to talk to my friends and loved ones (and it gives me the freedom to do so more often and in more places)
2) and rent, because I prefer to be comfortable and clean
3) school loans, because I borrowed money to receive an education that has been highly valuable to me
4) insurance, because I like not being saddled with debt so I can keep those other amenities I prefer to have
5) gym membership, because I like to work out
6) a useful gift here and there for my girlfriend, like kitchen equipment, etc., because I love her and she often bakes yummy things for me, for which I am grateful

I do not in any way "feel" like a consumer, but I guess if I meet your definition of a consumer then I am one.  If not, then I guess I am not part of this society- by your definition. Either way, I don't care about arguing the semantics.

These are all things I have the freedom not to do, other than not eat or drink water. I could go without a car, the internet, a cell, phone. I could live in a tent or something. Nobody is forcing me to live this way.

RNA based vaccine cons

there are no approved DNA/RNA vaccines for medical use in humans, hence their alternative name: next-generation vaccines. So they are likely to face considerable regulatory hurdles before being approved for use

as they only allow a fragment of the virus to be made, they may prompt a poor protective immune response, meaning multiple boosters may be needed

there’s a theoretical probability vaccine DNA can integrate into your genome
