Nice job! I agree, if you're only growing to supply yourself (like I do), 6qt and 12qt tubs are all you need to get good results.

Noice! I'm getting some RW to agar today. Is it a pretty straight-forward variety to grow? I've been reading conflicting information

It's been pretty straight forward so far. I use 4 qts of grain spawn for 650g coir and 3 quarts fine verm and fruit at spawn (ez dial tubs). I've only had blobs once and I blame the germ plate I used to inoculate the grain spawn for that tub. I'm currently running two lineages of RW, with two more on the way. So hopefully between four different sources of RW I can find one that I like most -- where are those blue nippled ufo caps at!

I think the ones I sent you might be earlier gen as they seem to be wildly inconsistent. That revert tub I have going is actually producing really nicely but I keep catching it after a heavy spore dump. Shoot up too fast

Even so, you have ufo caps and blue nippled ones in the photos you posted to the RW Grow Along thread. So we'll see what happens. In about 7 days we'll know more.

Both those are super nice. Playa has always been really thin at first for me, and after a couple transfers turns into kinda light tomentose. Iβd love to get a rhizo culture like that.

This one used to be very tomentose. It sat in the fridge as a vial of LC for a couple years now. That culture was really nice so I thought to revive it recently. Really pleased with what it did when brought out of the vault.

I love seeing those! You should totally consider a write-up for those! Im sure a lot of impatient people with only a couple spawn jars ready would love to have the info! -yes I get that it's fairly straightforward

Better luck with the next one D3! Those purple tops are gnarly.
Those RW from this morning are drying with powder blue caps.
