To print I just put a tub lid on the table with a piece of foil on it, then set the caps on the foil and snap the tub on. I did the same thing forgetting to let them dry my first time but they still worked out when I eventually used them.
Do you fold/package your prints in open air? I've been struggling to print and package in my 90q SAB.
Also, do you see any reason to harvest the fruits, take them into the SAB, then remove the caps and start printing? Or would I be just as well off cutting the caps off then transferring to the SAB?
I think I'm over-complicating this but I'd like to do a few giveaways and want them to be as high quality as I can get them.

A.k.a said: pretty stoked on these black pearl. They literally doubled in size each day for three days.
Ended up being about 330g which was less than I thought but whatever. Best gourmets yet.
I confess I'm very jealous of your meaty fruits man! They look like King Oysters.
Lol thanks. They’re a king/blue oyster hybrid.
They started out super weird looking I was shocked they ended up so normal.
You can definitely see the blue in them at this stage.

First grow, first BRF cake:
8 days after birth, 80F/95% RH, 12 on/12 off light. 70 grams.
The cakes sure grow at different rates. From the time the first one was harvested til the one was harvested it was 4 days.

Yeah I used to harvest then sit and cut the caps off at a table and then put them into tubs on foil, or sometimes even just put another sheet of foil over the printing caps.
Then I’d dry/cut/fold in open air. Never had any problems which surprised me.
Now I do most of it in front of the hood just because.
A couple people have wanted prints recently but I can’t remember who so anybody reading this if that’s you just shoot me a pm.

I do everything in open air, now. I like using the underbed boxes for printing... the wife will go thru and cap all the ones that look big enough and set them on a tray for me to place on foils... (I pre-cut foils, which I believe results in a better final product.) Depending on how many prints im going for, I'll let them sit for anywhere from 6 to 24 hours. Then pull all the caps in the dehydrator and let the prints dry for a minimum 24 hours.

thanks for the help! I think my next print attempt will be a success.
I didn't ask about prints, but I appreciate the offer. I've taken quite a bit from the community lately and I'd like to give back before I take anymore. It should be too long though, my PE is just about ready for bulk!
PE will be ready in a day or two, the GT next to it just got shaken and I've got golden halo, ESS and APE ready for grain. TOC and RW going to agar tomorrow

Both runs are MS on oats, then spawned two jars of spawn to CVG in 12qt Sterilites.
These are all first flushes. Took clones from each tub as well as making 12 prints. Only doing subsequent flushes from one of each tub (due to space constraints in the humidity tent).
wow very impressive.. wish i could escape from multispore.. but im too idiot haha. nice work!!

Shameless double post - decided not to run this PE plate because it was super thin and wispy. Should be able to at least get a plate pin or 20 out of it lol

I’ve had some really banging PE cultures be thin and wispy.. almost like it put all its energy into producing fruits and not a myc block.

Good to know! I just got 40 plates poured so I think I'm going to take a transfer out of this plate tomorrow. It also makes me feel better about these APE cultures I'm workin with right now
