In a first past the post voting system like in the US, the optimal result is two relatively equal parties, which eventually collapses into one party.

Trump is still considered a threat, which is why they attempted (and laughably failed) to impeach him a second time based on, once again, baseless charges.
The left has shown their true colors with their outright hatred for anyone who dares challenge their power. The truth is they want a pseudo-dictatorship where nobody could possibly threaten their hold on power, and now they will spend the next 4 years making it a reality. They are going to do everything in their power to rig the system even more and make it virtually impossible for them to ever be voted out of office again. Their obsession with power has reached a truly pathological level of insanity.
It truly would be poetic justice if Trump were to make a come back and win back the presidency again in 2024. Although I'm not really looking forward to that, I'd much prefer a more level headed individual like Tulsi Gabbard to get in the white house. But if Trump runs again she won't have a chance.

Destroying the GOP would be a good thing for the entire country. We need a new political party, one that is not so deeply corrupted, as both Democrats and Republicans are. If Trump could pull that off, (though I doubt it), then it would be something that we should all embrace.
