Posted close to a week ago about my contaminated bag. I managed to bust it open and save around 1/3 of the bag. Still don’t know if I’ll pull it off but wanted to give it a shot. I prepared my environment and basically just went to town slowly pulling away contam so as to not disturb too much air directly around the growth and spread the stuff. Gloved and masked to reduce risk to myself. I made a temporary bag for the portion I’d saved, with a gas exchange at the top; and kept it for two days to watch for contam. Then I spawned to a shoebox with just coir. This is the progress so far. I put it straight to fruiting conditions after two days closed. It’s holding moisture well, and I see no other kid of growth on the sides or the top. Is it safe to say that It’s likely to produce? Can’t say how many flushes but I’ve heard that the further you get get into colonization the less prone the myc will be to contamination?
Advice welcome. This is my first go.

There ar some grain I dont like, can it be bacteria? It looks little yealow to me. It been 16 days from inoculation with agar. Shaked once. Maby my grains to drie?
yo ras take the tin foil off the lids right when you pull jars out of the PC.
Contams can get in through a wet filter so its best to get it dry asap.

It was fresh foil not from pc, but after sterilization it could be still wet, the fillter... So good point, will take off. Did the shake will see how it goes. Its not pure culture so I want to grow some from clone, I have petri waiting will do new grain jars today. If my rye is 2+ years old is it bad for myc?

I have two pics here one is today and the other is from a couple days ago. I tried to cut out some contamination I now know it doesn't work but it was my first time so I had to try. Just wanting some thoughts on seeing if these are safe. What exactly is the stuff growing in the holes

Looks like you have tag-alongs certainly in the last two photos. I'd suggest letting the healthy myc grow a little and present itself before transferring, but thats
Shaneg, looks like Trichoderma to me. Those fruits defintely look good to eat but try to NOT disturb those trich spores more than you already have. Pick em slowly

I've got an LC made from tissue. It was doing great. I inoculated some rye flower cakes and some rye grain with it, that seem to be doing ok (pictures attached). But a day or two after inoc, the LC developed a white fluffy mass on the surface of the LC. It was fluffy on the upside b4 I stirred it. This is contam right? It's not myc that's growing on the surface? There is also some fluff on the bottom of the SHIP ... Appreciate any info, tnx.
