Who is the best in boxing at 147lbs? Crawford? Spence?

Crawford's game is probably more eye pleasing, and his style more electric, but Spence's body of work as far as resume goes is far superior to Crawford's. Like it's not even remotely close.

Spence has five scalps that are superior to any one win that Crawford has. And those wins are (in no particular order):

Danny Garcia, Shawn Porter, Mikey Garcia, Lamont Peterson, and Kell Brook. Yes Crawford did ultimately fight Kell Brook as well, and stopped him, but Spence fought a much younger and better version of Brook. And fought Brook in his backyard.

And Spence is also naturally bigger.

Look it's a really tough fight to call but I lean towards Spence because of his body of work. We can debate all day about the boxing politics and why he (Crawford) hasn't fought one single elite, A level opponent in his prime, but the fact of the matter is...he hasn't. And I think he's like 32 or 33 now. He needs to fight somebody who can take him into deep waters instead of fighting these B level opponents that he lines up one after the other.

By the way, while Spence and Crawford would both be favored over Manny Pacquiao right now (only because Pacquiao is freaking 42)...it is amazing that Manny Pacquiao is that old and is still the 3rd ranked welterweight in the world. The guy is a marvel. Pacquiao would NOT be an easy out for either Spence or Crawford. Just ask Keith Thurman, who was just by a sliver barely behind Spence and Crawford in the pecking order -- who had his belt taken away by the old man in his last fight.
