Here’s a deba with an inlayed saya that I made as a gift not too long ago. The blade is made from a broken cold-saw blade, M2 steel hardened to 64/65 hrc! Tough stuff! Holds an edge exceptionally well. The handle, saya, and inlay are all from scraps scored off a cabinet maker.

That's a cool looking knife ,a couple of days ago while looking thru some boxes I have in the shed I found this knife just hanging by the door , which is nice cause now I officially have a mushroom hunting blade 🥳

More knives I bought because I thought they looked cool, and ended up just shoving in a drawer...never to be used.
The turtle knife is kinda cool, but the other two are just retarded. Not practical, and unusable for the most part.

You're saying the CRKT's are useless?? Man, you just need to carry them . I have a crkt obake which is just like the one on the left but bigger, and its a decent little blade. Steels a little soft for my taste, but sharpens like nobodies business.

I'm just saying the one's that I chose aren't suitable for my preferences.
The handle on the small obake is too short to get a full grip, the sheath is bulky.
The other one has a really smooth flimsy plastic-like handle with little grip, just an awkward knife.
They all look cool as hell, but it seems like they focus more on form rather than function in a lot of their knives.

My brother gave me a CRKT Otanashi noh Ken for Christmas and at first I thought it was a pretty LARPy design but it has definitely grown on me.
It is for sure a tier one letter opener.

Lol, I could do without it, but it's only aesthetic...
I tried to get into keeping my knife on a belt or around my neck (lost two clips on buck knives) but I just found it irritating me too much throughout the day. I'm gonna go back to pocket clips.
Ugh, that sounds so boring after reading it over.

Just started working on a higonokami style mushroom knife. I have been wanting something with a hook blade and brush thats also thin, so it can fit in my pocket with out being annoyingly bulky.
