Wanted to get a house in FL usa anyone got any tips besides homestead act?

Well it slickening, but I found a way to settle all my debt, buy a house,
would require me defaulting on a small 4k loan After signing on house.
but we would have 1 car, any house I want under 100k, no bills other than house loan. still 5k in open credit.
but I'd lose my car that I've spent over 40k on half in motor work and have owned.....my whole life.

How does one spend 40k on motor work? if it's damage related you've been throwing good money after bad. If it's for tuning... I had twin turbo v-6 making 600 whp from a 345hp base and with completely building up the bottom end, putting in 2 dry sump oil pumps, having the block decked, sleeved and blueprinted, more aggressive camshaft, all new pistons, fully ported and polished heads plus a larger throttle body, larger injectors, and several custom ECU tunes it only cost me about 15k. Well I guess if you mean you by half you spent 20k on the motor that seems more plausible.

If youre going to florida you could find a cheap trailer to stay in or a cheap place in general (seemed to me like they have them) and save up more money
Id take a worse car and a house over a 40k car easy
No reason to have a car outside your need and means imo
I rather have shir car and nicer property

past 6 months house cost have tripled my current home last sale price was 33k it listed online as a 200k property..... a 2 bed 1 bath crack den no windows n shit is 80k down the road. want to move north for cheaper housing but I've never dealt with cold weather past 30f lol. heating cost scare me, my family makes maybe 25k a year if we are lucky.
I'm looking at affording at most a 90k house/30 year payments.
real shame is that even if i wanted a crack den near me it wouldn't pass inspection for fha loan or a USDA.

You can get a good enjoyable house for 40k-50k if you just take an honest and thoroughly researched look outside of your bubble. im going to start saying this to house shoppers more often because all i ever hear from house shoppers is that they "need to spend 100k or more or else its not real or we'll die in the house if its not 100k it'll kill us somehow, it'll be a fake scam" everyone firmly believes houses MUST cost over 100k, but its 100% bullshit brain washing by the housing market and mortgage scammers scaring the shit out of you and the myth is very well backed up by all the millions of people who fall for it every day. i know people who make barely anything per month and neck deep in debt, and they show me the house theyre looking at on zillow and its 120k and theyre "pre-approved" and excited. Kills me.

Scored a house for 70k. Needed a carpet cleaning and a new panel box. There are 5 other houses in my neighborhood that are less than 100k. One is around 50k and was just refurbished by the last owner who got it for 30k at auction (tax man took it and sold it) I live in a nice town. All the kids wander around and nobody locks up their bikes. No lack of jobs but it's over an hour to the closest "city" so not a lot of nightlife activities. Just lots of nature and backwoods NFA fam parties. Everybody has a stage built on their land lol.
If you owned the land you could have a brand new house with a full basement built for 120k.
Land is 800-1500 per acre here.

You just need to look hard and consistently. Dont call people asking reccomendations they have no idea what you need and just want to close the case asap.
the best houses usually have no good photos of the house in the online listing. Itll be a simple 1 sentence listing of a house and the photo is like 1 streetview snap of a tree and bush, usually in an area that is considered low value, but you use Google maps to scout everything, and you may just find the dopest house you ever imagined for under 50k. It's not going to be a beautiful brick house with perfect interior. They're always a little run down from the years, but not so bad you cant re-up its condition yourself for free minus materials cost.

My friend in PA lost 2/3 of his acreage to a pipeline transfer station. He bought a beautiful 60 acre piece with no neighbors and beautiful land. Now there is a 20 story tall industrial gas pipeline transfer station taking up his entire field of view and his well water has been cloudy and gross ever since.
Make sure to find out if above/below ground mineral rights convey. In some places they can take it anyway by declaring imminent domain. My biggest piece of 2c advice is find a place with good quality groundwater and no superfund or chemical industry sites upstream of you.
My 70k house has 2.5 acres and a great water source.

Wont happen where I am luckily, but i have heard of that catastrophe. I own my minerals luckily. I also have city water I'm not that far away from the grid, still right on it.

They were nice enough to make the outer shell of the building look like a barn. It looks about as much like a barn as one of those palm tree shaped cell towers looks like a palm tree.
