ATTN people interested in synchronicity: book recommendation
    #2720619 - 05/23/04 11:24 PM (12 years, 6 months ago)

Synochronicity is a common topic i see posted in here, as it is a interesting
topic for discussion and strange and very real phenomena.

Well I thought i'd go ahead and take the time to recommend a very interesting
book on the topic i think everyone should read!

:hypno:Title: The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire: Harnessing the Infinite Power of Coincidence
Author: Deepak Chopra

This book rocks! Those of you that don't like interesting but tedious,
long spiritual/philosophical books (like me) will love this because its a fast read!

:thumbup:Here is whats written on the back of the book:

-You come up with a creative solution to a life challenge, then your
best friend has exactly the same idea at the same time.

-You are thinking of someone you haven't seen in a while where the phone
rings, and there he is.

Most people simply dismiss these events as coincidences. The mistake they make is in not taking a closer look, for the word "coincidence" means "happening at the same time," and these moments are actually glimpses of a place where everything happens at teh same time, or synchonistically, a place where past and present and future are one. This book shows you-step by step- how you can not only benefit from these clues, but see more and more of them in your life, opening a doorway into a realm of divine intelligence where you can consciously create your own "good luck" in all areas of your life, including:
-an intimate experience of the divine
-your higher purpose
-love and relationships
-physical health and financial well-being

Mindfulness is the aware, balanced acceptance of the present experience.
It isn't more complicated than that.
It is opening to or recieving the present moment, pleasant or unpleasant, just as it is,
without either clinging to it or rejecting it.

I suppose if you were starving in a spiritual wasteland and all you had to get mystical over you could make use of the odd coincidence to fill your needs. This is not my situation though.

When I'm done with Skorp's book, I'll look into it. Thanks!
