oh shit! took me a minute to realize haha..
@Grenade01, i think PastyWhyte set a good example of what introducing new genetics should look like with RustyWhyte. just growing it out and sharing; no drama and not trying to copyright the darn thing. IME, OMC culture heavily leans toward sharing prints and these tight-knight financially motivated groups runs counter to that. sure has been a lot of work into new phenotypes in the last few years though, which is awesome.
those gandalf are crazy looking, good luck on growing em out!

Does anyone else's mel have a tendency to open veil and expose gills very early in the growth cycle on some pheno's? Trying to figure out when the best time to harvest ogm's from my T3 tub. Fruits are shorter than what I expected from this variety and the veils opened very early on some of the fruits. Quite a few veils are still intact so I'm assuming I can let this t3 tub go another 24 hours before harvest.
T3 MS

T4 MS (From same germ plate just for comparison) has thrown standard cube phenos. Large one being 7 ish inches without veil tearing yet. Much sparser pinset and sub didn't consolidate as well.

I've heard people do a squeeze test to know when to harvest, once they soften up a bit they get pulled.

Pretty sure I would ditch that culture to the circular file myself.

My melmac cultures (both pin clones from plates ) are super picky about dryish subs and will take an extra week, low yields, open super small and lots of aborts if its even slightly on the wet side. Second flush is usually killer when that happens but Iβd rather one and done and not use up the shelf space for an extra month... if sub is perfectly dialed I get 150% BE or better first flush.

I often get Lucustic/albino fruit from heavly sequenced spawn or new MS pheno hunts & Melmak.... Their is Albino mak spores available to those looking for said teaits 1/2 way stabilized. Also look to pearly Gates & Gandolf as TAT hybrids. Glad to see those swabs put to good Miscropospy use & the resulting rizomorfic growth guys.
This project got sidelined (kinda)for the moment for me as I am pheno hunting on over 10 different varieties... let me see a 500 grammer... that is the bar & goal guys. I hot some germ plates in the refer I will bust out in a couple weeks...

My TP serves up 50+ dry grams per bag 1st flush at 23 ish days. Then gives me an additional 15 to 20 second within 10 days. I figure it to be a 35 day cycle for 2 flushes if I keep ideal temps. 59 grams is 200% BE in my current situation but I am stretching my spawn pretty thin & have spawned heavier & ran hotter & pulled over 100 grams in 2 flushes from single bags but contams were a bit rogue. A month for a second flush is crazy I would once & done too as 23 days for a first the hell with a 2nd if it took a month.
I will say my 118 genetics throw almost identical 1st & second flushes so a mediocre 40+ gram dry 1st is followed in about 10 days later by another 30 to 40+

The cultures Imm talking about stall out first flush if sub is on the wet side and it takes 2-3 extra weeks, the second flush comes in a normal amount of time but is noticeably better than when the first flush dumps. They usually take ~21-25 days, a week or so more than regular cubes
I have totes spawned on the 1/2 fruiting first flush at same time as totes from the 1/18. Only difference is the ones spawned on the 18th went into dryer sub.
Might be worth mentioning I keep my temps on the cool side, 69-72

I got lucky first try but have given up on it for now. Way too erratic of a creature for me. Will def come back at it with a new swab later down the road. Shit took way too much time for what I got out of it. Granted if life hadn't fucked me a few months ago I probably could have kept it going with some success, just not worth restarting now.
