PudinLicous said: Thanks. I use a fair amount of vermiculite and double case with thick layers for added water. I give them a ton of fae so I'm misting way more than regular cubes. Look at this post by TedsDead for the details. I keep a really close eye on surface conditions. Also, use good strong light.
On this grow I tried Pasty's ez dialed mono and it worked great, so I'll probably continue on with that style. For the one quart mini's I used faht's method and it's great. Going to keep that up with the mini pe's too.
That will bring the weight and the flushes, but really what made all of the difference for me, I'm talking "I'm about to sell all my equipment and never do this again because I now have repeated failures" difference is pasteurizing my coir. If other people can get away without it that's great, but I cannot. Since I started I've lost zero tubs. I do it in an instant pot because I think it's easier than other methods. Also, use liners. I can't remember my ratio secret sauce but I'll send it to you when I get back to my notes.
Good stuff thank you! Def interested in that ratio secret sauce too
Interesting to hear about the coco pasteurizing, might give it a shot depending on how my first PE tubs go. Been doing just hot tap water to a big ass tote but If I do decide to pasteurize I’m gonna have to find a way to do bigger amounts easily, might have to go back to bucket tek.

Witches Butter, Hen of the Woods, and Turkey tail going into a mono in the basement at 55-61F. They didn't want to fruit in the 75F martha. This is known for Hen of The woods.

The witches butter might need to be a lot colder still. It can fruit in winter.

Seriously! I've got a fairly large crawlspace/attic type closet I want to put some shelves in for Winter cult. It's a steady 52F from about November through March but easily hits 80+F the rest of the year. Maybe gourmets in the winter and Pans in the summer?

I made some "EZ-Dialed" Mycobags today following Pasty's hole pattern but on bags using a soldering iron. I was going to use this spawn for monos but it had gone bacterial so I decided to spawn it 1:1 to some CV to see if I could get anything out of it vs risking spawning to bulk. It's RW btw.

These might be about the coolest I've seen in a while. Are you going to try and stabilize them?

Did I send you those? I tested a couple others that I made and had no problems. Let me know how the second swab turns out. I will be happy to send you more if these don't work out.

It really is that simple, I have been saying it for a while. Mix two Jars of different Phenos in a sub and call it a day.
PEU and AA+ Cross.

I thought tidal wave was a freaky blob mutant? That looks like a revert if it's supposed to be tidal wave.

That’s enigma. Tidal wave is PE/b+, but I think that’s where enigma originated.
