I recommend the Mistborn Series to literally everyone I speak with about books. I'm a HUGE Sanderson fan. He's my favorite author currently writing books and is 2nd on my all time list behind Frank Herbert and ahead of Philip K. Dick.

Extraterrestrial: The First Sign of Intelligent Life Beyond Earth by Avi Loeb
This book is about the object detected in 2017 and named 'Oumuamua, which the author, for various good reasons, believes was an artifact of an ancient alien civilization. He backs it up with all sorts of legitimate science, such as that it was moving too quickly to be an asteroid, and its flight path obeyed that of no known interstellar bodies. I'll comment more about the evidence as I read the book.
I'm not typically interested in this subject, but this guy, who chaired Harvard's Astronomy department for longer than any other physicist, is totally legit, and really believes this was an alien object. I'll see if I agree.

Just started Aromatherapy for the Soul: Healing the Spirit with Fragrance and Essential Oils by Valerie Ann Worwood. I've been loving working with essential oils recently and this book looks like a good overview of their use in spiritual practice

That looks like an interesting book, from a summary I read. I realize Richard Wiseman is a psychologist and author, but I am more familiar with him as a magician. The magic tricks he has created often involve cards and seemingly mathematical miracles.

The Shadows of Self (Book 2 of the Wax and Wayne era of Mistborn) by Brandon Sanderson. Book 1 of this second era of the series was awesome, great main characters and good humour and magical action. Excited to keep reading the series.

Just finished Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin. A story about an American living in Paris who ends up falling in love with a male bartender while his girlfriend (the main character's) is travelling in Spain.
8.5/10
It's been a while since I read a book that really grabbed me and brought me into a world and got me emotionally invested. Would recommend.

Conflict Is Not Abuse: Overstating Harm, Community Responsibility, and the Duty of Repair by Sarah Schulman. It is excellent.

Cities of the Plain by Cormac McCarthy
This is the third and final book of the "Border Trilogy," and the previous two could be two of the best books I've ever read. McCarthy is one of our greatest living writers.

Just started two books, one fiction and one spiritual non-fiction. The fiction is Lady of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley, which is in the same series as her popular book Mists of Avalon that I really loved. This one takes place before the time of King Arthur and details the events that will lead to his birth and rule.
The non-fiction is The Search for Hidden, Sacred Knowledge by Dolores Cannon. She spent decades doing hypnosis sessions involving past life regression and wrote many books about the sessions she had with clients. This one has started off great and looks to be full of interesting material

Cool dividedquantum! Way to go man! I've written so much but never attempted to publish anything. Well, I published a children's book, but does that really count haha
Oh and I am reading Happy by Derren Brown. It's quite good, just like everything else he does haha so talented

Verses for the Dead by Preston & Child
This is one of their novels with the famous Pendergast as the main character, and I have read one other: City of Endless Night. All I can say is that the latter was one of the best and most intelligent mystery books I've ever read, so I'm looking forward to this one.
