Whats the longest youve had to wait for myc growth in your jars? And what are some of the reasons for jars failing?
Im probably going to give mine a day or two more to show signs before I start giving the the required temps/incubator, but there isnt any sign yet.
Details : room temp ~ 15-20 degrees celcius shroom - GT's incubator - negative(on top of my draws) substrate - brown rice flour n verm

Your jars seem good . 4 days is nothing especially if u used a vendor syringe . Need often at least 1 week to see a sign of growth . So just wait and see !
The older ur spores are , the more time it take to geminate !

Vendors syringe - 7-10 days for germination.
Fresh syringe that I made myself - 2-4 days for germination

Thats not really true,My jars germinate in about 3 days regardless of where they came from, its all about the temperture they are incubated at,86F is ideal,at this temp spores usually germinate in about 3 days ,the lower the temperture gets from that ideal temp of 86F,the longer they take. Quote:

I understand you wrote,on average, but again that shouldnt be the average if tempertures are correct.I have 1/2 pint jars completely colonize in 14 or 15 days. Again here is the chart showing how much temperture effects colonization, and germination.Look how much of a differance there is in growth at say 70F for example, compared to 86F.Its a huge differance Just be patient,at the temperture you have them at,it will be a slow process, but will happen.Back when I first started and didnt have an incubator, some jars I had of EQ took almost 2 weeks befor I saw anything.

especially jars 2 and 4,but the fact that they are straight lines, and at the level that the water would have been, makes me think they are just stains as you say.

Yeah,I noticed them on my first jars and about freaked until I wiped them off with a damp towel soaked in ISO alcohol.I thought I screwed them all up.
