They're pretty suspicious looking characters. Wait and see what happens post shake. That's a lot of condensation.

The big question is how heavy and then if it is a fucker, I probably have to put the work surface on casters. Cause my landlord really is a dick, Ain't gonna be a worry until I can buy the parts. I am going round the twist having not only cramped comdintions in the SAB but the visibility leaves something to be desired and if I am gonna spend time and monehy trying to ceate a plexi window I probably just want o build an out of pocket spreadsheet for the cost of building the FH.
I will search the DIY FH TEKs, see if somebody posted blueprit-like plans. Size counts, as she said.
I know the FH won't magically create sterile gechnique, but I do think the ability no to be cramped will allow for more methodical undertaking. And I can le4t my petris "uncondensate" in the flow which would be a food tthing.
-----------------------------------------------
There have been interstitial posts...so. just ignore all that above and I'll start smaller. Just not having to work through [no. 10 can] aremholes and peer through the tub will be a major improvemnt. Also, I really want to leave the plates in front of the flow so I don't have so much not improving condensation.

It's super light and easy to move, you could tuck it away no problem. This is a series 1 from FP but you could easily build one. Or grab a small ffu, that's likely the best route.
I tried to look up what FP means...couldn't find that. Also FFU is not in the Abbreviations Lists that I found. More info please. Maybe a URL?
And the poured plates are still clean.

Doh.
Shit. I'm annoyed with him. Ah well. Il'll go look. Probably have to try to cop the specs and build it...I can't spend another penny on equipment until $$ comes from somewhere. I'm sticking with expendables like the 50-lbs of white proso millet in transit.
Thanks p9.
...
edit after a look
Yeah, that would do it, but I wish I could get the specs. Though if either pending 60 x 72 inch painting sales comes through that bitch is mine. Just had a brainstorm. Firend of mine is an HVAC/engineering genius. [built a firepit with a blower...throws 18-24 in diameter logs in the fucker + bult a solar powred which to hau hhis cat onto the trailer]. I can trade

SpaceBaby, I wouldn't recommend this per se (yet), but I found a Philips HEPA filter attached to a box fan with a DIY plenum is strong enough to pass the flame test.
Like the smart air filter 1.1 models that were sold for super cheap, but you should use a box fan instead, preferably one that's similar size as the filter.
The above mentioned purifier (no plenum, not a good attachment, not a box shaped fan)
The point is it's really cheap and strong enough. My plan is to use 3 filters side by side and caulked together, and 3 fans side by side, or 2 fans in series. It's not the best system but it's cheap. Free for me, since I have all the parts already.

Thanks. First thing I’m gonna chat with my friend the engineering/hvac genius. As mentioned, I realized I could, umm, make a trade.
But, I am going to keep this in my back pocke4t if the project goes south. I want to see if I can build a 24 x 24 FH with the help of my genius friend and for hopefull not too too much $,

LOL now you got me wondering if a bunch of room HEPA filters glued together could work given a really elaborate plenum.

Lol, man that shit never stops being funny. You can't tape a filter to a fan haha....well, I mean, you can but.
Follow the approved builds and suggestions for matching filters and blowers, they're there for a reason.

For air purification, you definitely can. The results are visible with a particle counter. I've tested it myself, and I've seen graphs of other people's tests.
But for a flow hood? Well, what we're talking about is essentially a FFU. The vetted build plans are great for your average person but I already have a surplus of the wrong parts. It would be crazy to not try to use them to make something right. (I don't follow any other teks word for word, either. Everything should be adjusted for individual circumstances.)
The main reasons it might not work is if the flow around filter edges is too turbulent, or if Philips uses a H10 or H11 filter (still HEPA, but really really sucky).

I'm not going to get into that argument on this thread, its way off topic. Take solice in the fact that though you are incorrect it's a simple fix.
Do you have any spawn produced by this method, I'd like to see those pics here for sure.

;whathesaid:
hey, p9, do you have a source for a hepa effective 99.999@0.1 microns. I am looking into building a 25 x 24 FH. If i can still move it about, i think the extra heght would be useful for L I etc…

Yes but it's a source in Canada, here ya go:
https://fr.airfiltration.ca/pages/hepa
I just followed this link and it appears as though they may have changed their products, they have 99.97 @ .3 microns listed, I no longer see my filter in their list
