Lol. Sterilizer fixes that. I haven't seen anything like that yet in millet but I had a bunch in my wheat bags.

These were like an inch long, no idea what they were. I might put them through a strainer with big enough holes to let the seeds through before I jar them, I don't want any of those fuckers in my jars.

No idea how, but a few days ago I had a plate with some sort of bug shell in the agar. No bacteria growing from it so it must’ve been sterilized.
Super weird, looked like a little see through shrimp.

Weird, I've never found anything in my LME or agar before.

I'm not trying to be a smart ass, but P9, from what Ive gathered, grain jars should appear bone dry on the inside after pc right? Should be no visibile moisture or sticky grains right? I think one of my PCs is messed up but Ive got 20 jars im running 1hr at a time until Im sure they won't fuck me and my precious agars!!!!

No, not always. It takes experience and time to know what you're looking at. It depends on what you're prepping: millet/WBS can come out damp but clears up in a couple of days. Oats and wheat should be dry. Sometimes if the larger grains are a tad wet they will dry up as well unless they come out soaked. Nothing in this game is ever black and white, only trial and error will be able to shed light on some of the finer nuances.
I will be making a lot more videos as of tomorrow, hopefully seeing how things work as apposed to reading about them will help.

My grains when following P9 are super wet on the glass or bag wall because of cool down condensation. zero worries... just mix it up on noc. it all looks great soon enough.

Hmmm fuck it heres a pic. These have been in PC for at least 2 hours, they are a little sticky but they initially dried for 2 days in strainers longest Ive ever waited. Im determined to show these fucking grains whos boss, fuck bacteria and fuck trichodermia. Im on top of the food chain god damn it.

my cheapo walmart pc's seem to run out of water a little after an hour, so, load up and run only one hour at a time, stop add more water if needed once cooled, check the jars, do another hour or two.

It doesn't work like that. Your PC time needs to be concurrent or it doesn't count at all really.

Ahhh dang it okay, so I need to stack the jars higher so it can hold more water > pc longer.... and if they still come out looking wet I'm throwing them back in... no?

imagine the very inside of the jar.... it takes more than an hour for the heat to get to the center. If you stop at an hour, it will never get the center of the jar to 250f. Bleeding steam is the culprit of losing water. keep the bobble from bleeding and you'll be fine. (hope this isn't a instapot, cause that won't work at all.)

Here's a couple of master jars I have going from LC.

Here is a video of a shake of one of those jars. In a nutshell, healthy spawn can be shaken with one hand while holding your camera phone in the other hand and should elapse about 10 seconds.
Shake shake shake video!

All these maracas sounding jar show offs!!!
I'll pc my millet jars tomorrow and inoculate Wednesday. I read a mushboy suggestion to leave the agar to colonise from the top and not shake immediately as then it's easier to tell what caused contams if you get some early (top section bad = probable agar contam, elsewhere = probable bad grain prep). Think that's best?
I'll film the process, put it in a journal and share the link for critique.

That is a good suggestion. I am unable to refrain from at least shaking the wedges under the surface.

I think for a beginner like me it's a good idea. Once you know your teks are good and want to do it efficiently I'm sure there is no need. I'll probably try and roll it just under the surface but not shake hard.
