Thats fuckin awesome, man. I wish that I could be that open about it. I fear going back to prison so I just don't tell anybody about it. People talk and I have trust issues.

Yeah, openness is not for everyone. I have no criminal record and I am a combat veteran with a spotless record. I have both layed down and picked up bodies for "the betterment" of my society. I have served my country and my community. My conscience is clear. If the police have the audacity to disrupt my life when I'vemore than earned my right to be left alone and in peace, well, that's on them.  I'll be sure to let the judge know that if I'm not being sentenced to a firing squad they're wasting their time.

Even though I grow actives I grow far more gourmets. I can only eat soo much and many people that I know "hate the texture". I give more mushrooms to my local food bank for free than anything else. I just need to grow. I don't sell drugs, make illegal money, none of that. I just grow and maybe in the process change some of my karmic debt for the better.

The police have guns, meth, fentanyl, heroin, and gang members to get off the street. I'm just a farmer.

Man I respect that whole heatedly but I've seen what can happen when people assume the police have better things to do. I assure you, they don't. Meth, guns, gangs, those sound pretty dangerous. A pot or mushroom farmer? That's an easy score with lots of assets to forfeit, a great PR boost, and a nice little bullet point of their next budget request. Not saying you're wrong about your approach itself, and I know department mentality can vary greatly from city to city but I have seen and heard with my own eyes and ears how police talk to each other about these things and they would be happy to take down a personal use farmer. Even if charges are dismissed, they still got 1 more arrest on their record, they still get to size property, and the city still makes more money. After that, they don't care what happens.
By all means though, keep doing your awesome work!!

P9 I really felt that in my soul. That post about how you don’t care what people think or do because you know what you are doing is benefitting society as a whole. It’s posts like that I used to be so adamant about showing my wife to help influence her to make better decisions in life. But after countless efforts blowing up in my face, I no longer pursue such endeavors.... feels lonely man

I grow lions mane spawn blocks for my uncle to fruit for his daughter, she's recovering from breast cancer. I will be doing turkey tails for him as well. I've overcome the desire to kill myself, do hard drugs and behave like an asshole and I've helped others to do the same. I give healthy food to people who are hungry and broke without charge and without wanting anything in return. Mushrooms have saved my life and have allowed me to be a positive force in the world; it doesn't matter if they're active or edible, they're all magic to me.

You're not alone, brother. That's just an impermanent state of mind. Be a positive force in the world and don't let anyone stop you from doing so. Whatever that may be for you.

This is really what we all strive for, the ability to live and grow and give back to our communities the most important thing. FOOD.

So, apparently,  my dog has discovered some dog dope in the backyard, the vet thought for sure she was poisoned until he ran the blood work and it was normal. He hooked her up to an IV, gave her some different dog dope (I can't remember everything he listed) and watched her for the next 10 hours.  Apparently  She was high AF from something she found out in the yard for 8hrs after I dropped her off at the vet.
The only thing I can think of is that she ate magic mushrooms in the horse pasture, it makes sense now that I think about it. she was terrified! Now, I'm curious if dogs really get high on magic mushrooms (I know they like weed). If that's what happened, she just had a 500 dollar trip!!
Today,  it's like nothing happened,  but yesterday she was still a little weirded out when I picked her up, but now I associate her behavior yesterday with what I call the "Next day reset" after a hard trip.
If anyone has had a similar experience with their pet eating magic mushrooms, whether it got ahold of your mushcult or like my situation where wild fruit is involved, I would like to read your experience.

My golden retriever Roscoe was the playful devil incarnated. Where I lived at the time all the dogs roam off leash, wonderful community. Roscoe would go steal everything that wasn't tied down in the neighborhood and leave it on my front lawn. I had a sign up and some shelves out for people to come reclaim their shit. I had so many stolen single shoes! He even stole a towel off a naked guy on a deck once! There were multiple attempts on his life. Hit and runs, poisonings. Eventually I found him dead not far from my house on the road. Clearly poisoned but not much evidence, nothing around him. Poor fella, I loved him like crazy, he had it coming, he didn't know what he did was "bad". A good dog in many ways. Now stealing togas and robes in doggie heaven. That instance changed the neighborhood forever. Now 1/10 dogs roam free when it used to be 9/10.

People call me for their drug questions, my roommate's friend and her man were staying the night. In the morning she ran into my room in her underwear, sat next to me in my bed, crying about how she left an ounce of dried cubes in the wrong place at her homies crib, his two dogs got into them. She was pretty freaked out, but clearly took advantage of the opportunity to come get nakedly into bed with me  I certainly didn't mind, ha. I helped her come to realize that the dogs were probably safe, she just scared the shit out of them. We laughed about it until her man came in  Sorry bro!

Most animals wont intentionally eat magic mushrooms twice, with some exceptions. Cows can eat loads of magic mushrooms and show no sign of cognitive/physical change. Reminds me of Ram Dass giving Maharaji a legendary dose of LSD. Maharaji Didn't show any sign of being effected by it. He winked at Ram Dass in his confusion. I think maybe this is why cows are worshipped in some cultures. Because the fruits grow from their shit and they seem to possibly be "already up" like their sober perceptions are much closer to a psychedelic state.

I used to pick loads of cyans in a small park in Oly WA years ago. Every time I would hit that park this big black lab that lived across the street would come over to say hello. He would take us right to the patches and then get all excited. I started bringing a ball with me as this was a regular occurrence and playing fetch with a big black lab in the park is a great cover. He would take us to the patches and he would let us pick them and then nab a few out of our hands and gobble them down. It is funny how he would wait for us to pick them before stealing them from us. He never ate the ones off the ground. He would often sniff out our way back to my friends house (about 10 blocks) and then proceed to lay on the porch and get good pets and love from the people that would come through all day ( it was a "house" wink wink). He was a cool old dog and like to trip. He didn't ever eat a lot. We found out his name was Jed and there were many neighborhood stories about him.

So happy to hear your pup is all good, Doc! And I'm pretty close to where p9 is... I don't tell everyone what I do, but anyone who is active on my life is in the know. Ive offered weed gummies and mushroom capsules to my aging parents and grandparents... so far they've politely declined... lol. My mom will be smoking as soon as she retires tho... so im excited to show her how much has changed since the 80s...

I wish I could be that open. There is just too much at stake. My family knows my interest and that I have grown weed and shrooms in the past but there are only 2 people that know now and that's only because we live in the same house. I helped a lot of people by providing them with medicine that they couldn't get otherwise or as an alternative to pharma. My heart wants to think that I would be repaid for that with understanding but I know that is not the case. At least not around here. This is the good-ol-boy area where a cops brother can not only go free but get to keep his meth but anyone not in their circle will be arrested and property siezed for possession of weed without a current medical card. I know for a fact that police in this city regularly resell the drugs they seize to their family and friends while the people they seized them from sit in jail. I'm cautiously optimistic for the day that changes, but this is not that day.

I already am super Leary about what I tell people. But most of the time when I share my passions for cult with people, it’s during a period when I’m not actively culting.

I confess that i I love that I don't have to hide.

I am a grown ass man and I make my own decisions. I consider myself to be a good person. I am honest with everyone and up front. Everyone know's that im the mushroom guy. I'm the only mushroom guy around, I've never heard of anyone that cults or is even remotely interested in trying. I know a few people who forage but that's about it.

My kids, my entire family, my friends, girlfriend, their family, everyone know's and I'm proud of it. Over the year's I've been on every major antidepressant and as a result I have been addicted to them as well, they're fucking awful and do more harm than good in my experience. I use cultivation as a way to find purpose, to keep myself busy and intellectually stimulated. I absolutely love cultivation and it's soo much a part of me that if you reject it you've rejected a huge part of me. Cult is pretty much the only thing that I do, all day, every day. If I'm not cultivating I'm definitely reading about it or at least talking about it.

I'm on the shroomery every waking hour when I have some down time from cultivation. I find that when people realize that you're doing something healthy, when what you're doing is legitimate and not some skeezy, druggy, criminal bullshit they tend to come around.

My kids know that what I'm doing is not only important to me but it has been historically important for indigenous cultures, and soon enough will be something that will be important for our own. I am improving my life and possibly the lives of those around me. Mushrooms provide perspective, they remove those blind spot issues, they show you that you're not just a poor, suffering, lonely bag of skin; you are an integral part of this thing, whatever that is, and its your responsibility to be a good steward of everything that's been entrusted to you by this vast universe.

This is my purpose. You can jail me, reject me, you can do or say whatever you please; you'll have to kill me to make me quit. I am what I am, what I am is a mushroom farmer. Go fuck yourself.

Long live shroomery.

:hellyeah:

A true champion. Very well put.

I am what I am, what I am is a mushroom farmer. Quote of the year.

I love how outspoken you are about doing what you love, that's what a true passion does to you. Makes you not give a shit about what anyone thinks of you because it's what you enjoy.

I feel you about every waking hour having thoughts about mushcult. Ever since I got into it, I have to check shroomery to see what you guys are up to because it interests the fuck out of me and I always learn something every day because of this place.

I am always wanting to expand and try new things and that's something that I barely ever did before starting this. Now I want to build/learn/expand. Finding something that really interests me is rare and that is something I struggled with for sure. It's hard for me NOT to find something interesting when I think about this venture.

It's the best sickness I ever caught.
