Hey all Im sick of making individual gummy bears even if they are pretty fuck'n awesome.
I just bought 16 of these pizza slices(aliexpress) to drop 2 Ozs into.I want them to look as close as pizza as possible. Like lil cartoon pizza slices. I use 40 grams jello mix and 40 grams agar after making tea with 2 oz and condensing down to 1 cup. My guess is just make everything white and add food coloring. Then paint on pepperonis with food safe paint(sugar) of some sort.
Just spent 35 bucks on molds now im gonna get inspired by youtube and pintrest. If anyone has an idea as to what I should be using please add your 2 cents.
They wont ship from china land until march 18  after searching an hour on google/amazon/and these are what I want and a ok price for 16 molds.
Update as it goes/ I find links for products that be will used. Obviously I will be making test batches before adding actives.
I bough this white Pina colada jello shot mix
I bought SOFT GEL PASTE 4.5 OZ IVORY FOOD COLOR This should help with the color of the pizza dough.
Labels will be another cost. I made a few samples. I will either buy sheets of sticker paper or just order labels. The average cost seems to be around $40 for 100 after shipping. That would enough for 12.5 oz of cubes
(rounded up & twice as much as one would need)
$35 16 molds
$20 food color
$15 Jello shot mix

My wife sometimes makes chocolate titties, I imagine the same process would work with agar. She uses a pipette to drop the nipples, lets it harden, drops the areolas, lets it harden, then fills the rest of the titty.

Throwing around some label ideas
This one took me longer then I would like to admit.
edit- + nobody cared anyway  i'll post a different one after i have made some progress.
Ordered supplies today to start some mock slices

20.5 grams sugar @ 1 cup
turn down heat
#30 grams Jello mix after one cup mark
stirr in two drop of ivory food coloring
turn down heat
off heat 5 grams agar @ 1/2 cup
return to low heat and stir until you can see the bottom of the pot.
pour moulds
fridge for 1/2 hour
paint bottom and put back in the fridge for a half hour
Pop moulds out and "paint" pepperonis
dehydrate for 1 hour or until desired size
Room temp cure for 12-2 to harden before baging
This was the first test batch but ... I nailed it  so tomorrow i will make them with actives / take the normal slew of pics/ have this moved to Psc exp.
2 Oz dry powdered cubes boiled in 4 cups water
boiled down to 2 cups and squeeze/strained
2 cups reduced to one cup
then the above procedure is applied.
