I just got some bigger centrifuge tubes for slants. It said they was pp but I see the cap has a 1 on it. Who has the over under odds on them melting in the pc? Imma stuff a couple in a jar next run and see what happens 🤣
They are karter scientific

These are ULAB tubes so obviously different but I just ran them for the first time a couple days ago. They were a bit pliable when they came out have to be careful when tightening the caps when they are still hot but other than that I don't think there was any significant warping or melting. Haven't opened them since PCing and have them sitting in open air as a bit of a test and so far I don't see any growth in them. It's only been a few days but no indication that the seal has been compromised by the PC cycle. I can't remember if it was you I talked to breifly about them in another thread so if so I apologize for repeating all this. The rack only warped because I had jars sitting on top of it. Really don't think it would have had any significant deformation otherwise.

The first plate (spore swab) a little bit bacterial but still usable, I transferred some bits and cloned a few blobs

One of the blobby dick:

However, isolation of other nice sectors showed more regular shaped pins

Is melmak a blobber like PE? Can a blob clone be a good fruiter? Anyway I cloned both to find out, but would be nice to hear anyone's experience with this variety

Cloned blobs grow out as regular fruits when grown under proper conditions.

eLeSDenes your timelapse is dope! I made a time lapse with an old iPhone once, really enjoy watching these. Thinkin' to start a mycotimelapse thread at some point. I think some HD shit at a good angle could be legendary! I was originally inspired by a dope timelapse in hamilton's pharm. Worth checkin' out.

I accidentally dropped the no pour on its side before inoculating, YOLO'd it anyways
