Sorry I don't get it, why use that instead of the standard trivet?

I think it connects to the trivet plate to provide extra spacing so you don't have to use jar rings etc.

Yeah I swapped it out for the rings as a spacer.

Extractor for pulling out LC from a media bottle — luer lock on the end of the outlet tube allows you to connect a syringe and extract.

Tek request!! I've been meaning to put one of these together, where'd you get the piece that connects to the syringe?

Seems like the best version I’ve seen. Have you used it yet? How’d it work?

works just fine, really nice over the scalpel and i’m still able to get my stuff agar side down. if you search amazon for “cork boarer” you’ll see this one, comes in a set. it was like $3 shipped lol. it did require cutting the metal on the far end, otherwise the interior rod was too short.

It's a modular trivet!  You can daisy chain them to make it any size.  I have one for the pressure cooker, you'd need two or three for a canner.

Yeah I didn’t see the part about attaching them together for bigger PCs. I had to still leave one jar ring in the middle of the rubber to keep it big enough for the presto.

I'm not sure that these are meant to be modular as stated above i don't recall any mention of that on the packaging, but there is a metal clip that attaches the ends together.. Just use that to connect to another spacer, and use the clip that came with the new spacer on the other side.

It does say in small print on the back to buy two and clip them together lol.

I was trying to figure out how to fit both clasps on it so I finally dug the package out of the garbage and saw that.

Idk what y'all did, or whomever, with the stock trivet plates  but I have used simple kitchen cloths as a buffer to keep jars off the metal bottom.

Has anybody implemented a pipette to their LC routine? I just ordered one, and I guess I gotta order tips too, but I figure I will be able to use less LC per innoculations, and a consistent quantity per noc.

Now I gotta go get a chipper shredder for my Mimosa. Thinking I'll use it to make some mash and get me a fancy custom hand made copper still to learn how to make cherry brandy. Hell I could even use grain water from prep to hydrate my mash. Might go buy a farm after that so I can grow a nice lot of hemp. Then I can make hemp liquors and cooking extracts. Maybe one day I'll even inoculate a field of rye with some ergot LC...:crazy2:

For now I have 100lb of lye, they shipped me double my order at no extra cost, just a few days late. Got 25kg shea butter, 32lb castor oil, 8lb coconut oil, canola, olive oil, and extra virgin olive oil. 4 essential oils; sweet orange, texas cedarwood, Japanese peppermint, and Australian Tea Tree. Gotta swing by a restaurant supply store for 50lb of tallow and then I just need to finish processing my old purple dye solutions. Add some homegrown loofa fibers and I'll have enough soap to start a shop, so maybe catch me on lot slinging soap to dirty hippie kids. I expect the purple mimosa dye to color it more of an ugly brown, but at least it'll be put to good use. Got 10kg of chunky shredded dye dropped off yesterday morning.

Feels like things are just getting started.

I have a stock pile of the pipettes from the plates I was ordering, now I’ve got a possible use for them all!

I've been using 10ml glass pipettes for syphoning off non-polar layer when working with said purple dye for years. I use them for other random things like measuring hydro nutes and shit. Don't know why I haven't found a use for them in cult. Good thinking.

Finally got my propane burner running. Will be nice to not have to hear the rocker and steam or to have to take up half the stove top.
