How many of you are still holding or got out before the whole fiasco? Just curious.

I traded (minimally) some of the momentum in GME and AMC using common shares, as by the time I took note, options were far too expensive, and my holding periods were all < 1 day. All trades exited profitably between 10-25%. Not bad for a day trade, but these were high risk and therefore small position trades, so really just for shits and giggles.
I definitely wasn't trying to embody the ethos of the trade (i.e. stick it to the man/hedge fund/whatever), although I got a kick out of that aspect of it, and I definitely didn't expect much from the trades because I know better than to bet the farm on something so exceptionally volatile, particularly in the midst of brokerage based outages, trading halts and a moving target of trading restrictions.

Im holding a few shares of GME, some positions are actually in the green
I have a lot more $NAKD stock that is way down
My first ever shares so Im keeping them as a reminder of my greed and stupidity. I will only sell at profit or ride them into the ground

I bought relatively high (around 80) and sold at the absolute bottom of one of the later dips (around 60). Lost ~25%.
C'est la vie.

I'm still holding my 6.3 shares of GME. Bought 4.3 of them around $290, the last two I bought around $150. In hindsight I should have sold when it reached in upper $300s, but oh well, I was fooled by the hype, I guess? Or were I and many others cheated out of a lot more money? I was using Robinhood and then they blocked my buying of GME. Still feels like I got cheated, TBH.
These are the first shares of any stock I've ever bought. Quite an interesting introduction to stock trading lol.

My first stocks were a gold miner...it shot up like crazy but I got distracted by life and almost held on too long. Didn’t take a loss but my profit was smaller than it should have been. Good learning experience.

Assuming GME short squeezes again to the same level it did last time I will not be missing my chance to sell my 6.3 shares this time around!

What price did you buy in at? Might wanna just exit as soon as you're in the green, fuck trying to make a profit. I bet it will slam back down just as hard, but who knows. The market is completely irrational and maybe redditors switched to better brokers by now who won't limit their buys

My average share price is about $250. I want to sell about half my shares when the price hits around $430 so I make back my initial investment; the rest of my shares I would hold in hopes of the once-in-a-lifetime short squeeze... yea i think a bunch of people have switched away from the bad brokers since the fiasco last month.

I've been holding 5 shares for the novelty for a bit. Luckily I can cash out pretty any time for some gains but I want to see where this goes!

I think it will drop back down just like before, you guys should sell before you're left holding the bag.
Maybe in the future a radical changeover to ecommerce could make GME this valuable but it's unlikely IMO. I think it's hype and if you hold the stock you should cash in.

For the past number of weeks I've been sorta looking into this specific investment... I used to know basically nothing about stocks and trading, and I still do mostly, but I learned about a couple things. Like the 140% borrowed shares when only 100% should be able to be borrowed creating the situation we have where they have to basically pay back more than they should have ever been able to borrow in the first place, so at some point (any idea when this will be....????) the hedge fund people WILL need to pay back their borrowed shares, which is why people have gotten on the GME train because they assumed GME would basically go out of business but instead purely because they borrowed more than they could afford to pay back, people are buying into GME just because it's inevitable that they'll need to pay it back. The day(?) or week or whenever they need to pay back their shares (they=hedge fund borrowers), that is the "squeeze" right? Is it too late to get in on this? I kinda wish I'd have bought in at 40 or whatever a few weeks ago but I just don't understand when they'll have to pay back their borrowed shares, or if they can just keep like, postponing it for so long that people give up and sell their shares 6 months from now cuz it's like they never need to pay it back. Then when GME is worth $10 a share, then they'll randomly pay their borrowed shares back...
Do I more or less have that right? Is the squeeze still in the future, and is it true that they HAVE TO pay it back at some point? Will it all happen at once, or within a week, or could it be a slow squeeze that happens over months where they just pay back bits at a time when GME drops low? I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to ask for financial advice in terms of "tell me, should I invest here or no?" But if anyone can help me understand if there are still tons of borrowed shares that are REQUIRED to be paid back, and they haven't yet, so it's nearly inevitable that the stock will continue to go up until the squeeze happens, then I can make the decision myself. This whole thing has just seemed to drag out for a while at this point and I don't get when this proverbial "squeeze" is supposed to happen, if ever
Thanks to anyone who can help clarify anything I'd appreciate it.
