These should also do the job, box of 50 for £59, used for jams and pickling.

Jarsandbottles

I'll probably get a box of these to try for that price.

I completely forgot I'd ordered 20 plastic wide mouth lids and some overly expensive sfd sticker things from Amazon ages ago and they've just arrived so I can switch out the 2 piece lids on 20 of my jars anyway. I'm pc-ing a batch of grain jars later tonight so will test out the stickers

Hi guys - on a different topic due to different life circumstances I'm going to be emigrating from the UK permanently within the next few months and I can't (or won't) take most of the myco supplies with me, so there are a few that I'm willing to give away soon-ish (I don't have a massive stockpile - I could take a few quid or a box of good IPAs but that is not mandatory - just happy that these supplies would be put to good use; otherwise they might end up in a skip).

I can't be fucked with parcels (not worth the shipping for the cost of goods) so it would require collection in person only (The North).

Not planning to do it right now (lockdown etc) but perhaps there is someone that would be interested. The big items would be 10-15 quart jars with SFDs already glued on, ~300 sealed plastic petris (stacks of 20), large bag of perlite, some good quality coir and other good bits and pieces, perhaps could even give my still air box away.

What is the easiest grain to get in the UK? I've only tried racehorse whole oats but want to try something different next time. Is there a UK standard? If anyone has something that always is good for them that is available countrywide then source is appreciated too.

all millet is good if you prep it right. I guess I am a bit old school with prepping. I like to soak and cook for about 30-40 min, usually I get lots of bust seeds, but that's how I know that it's good and done, proper hydration is very very important

Search for "SATCO plastic containers" on ebay.

I got these ones and they work great. Sturdy, reusable, cheap!

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Satco-4oz-Plastic-container-tub-baby-food-sauce-dip-deli-pot-ice-cream-reusable/184132308151?hash=item2adf240cb7:g:vFoAAOSwJBdeIHnd

Visibility isn't always great if you get a lot of condensation but it usually subsides eventually.

I have also tried the same brand in the wider flatter dishes, great for spore plates, although they take up more space.

SATCO is the best, but be aware, I've had ebay seller listing their tubs as SATCO and sending me cheapo ones instead.

SATCO have their brand on, are sturdy and thick, and will be made in the UK. Anything made in the UAE or china is not SATCO.
