Those
Are really cool,
and in the wrong place. Some sort of bolete. maybe red-mouth but my book here says they stop fruiting in October
I duuno i'm terrible at identifying mushrooms...

Mushroom Hunting and Identification
Habitat:
Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.

Gills:
Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.

Stem:
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.

Cap:
Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.

Spore print color:
Very important!

Bruising:
Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.

Other information:
Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

Red Cracked Bolete is what I think it is. Look it up and do your spore print, see if I am right!

Let me see a pic of the underside and I will be a little more certain. Disclaimer: DO NOT EAT THIS BASED ON MY ASSESSMENT. I am not a professional. Under the cap should not look like gills, it should look like thousands of tubes and pores.

I reckon you're spot on. Google them and look at the first picture in images.

:solidnod:

Yes, definitely some sort of cracked cap bolete, Xerocomellus sp.

Possibly edible but it's actual species may be based on where you are located and the trees in the vicinity. Break one in half and watch the trippy bluing reaction!!

Hah! For the most part those apps suck! Seek is probably the best one, but I can promise you there will be better chances at getting a correct ID here, especially the hunting forum.
