Hey Shroomery folks! Long time lurker, enjoy the vast amount of knowledge coming out of these forums. I highly respect all of you.
I recently got what are supposedly Golden Teachers from an online dispensary.
It's been 10 years since I've had active mushrooms in front of me and now I'm nervous whether or not they are safe.
Some background info, they smell exactly how I remember a bag of mushrooms would.
There is a slight white fuzz that climbs the stems and I'm super nervous whether it's mold, or mycelium climbing the stem.
I received them fairly dry, they snap and crack when bent.
If I'm missing any information, I can happily add more or what is requested.
Admins, if I have broken the rules please remove this post, and I will read up on the rules further to make sure it doesn't happen again.
Lastly, I'm on a mobile device. Sorry if this post is not formatted very well.

they look moldy to me if i consumed them id boil in a tea but personally i dont eat moldy shit. and fairly dry isnt good u want them things 100% cracker dry and packaged/stored properly. otherwise they will take on moisture and mold if not packaged properly or if packaged and not 100%dry. tgey aint gnna kill u but i have standards on what il consume and those def look like mold to me

I appreciate the input, with that I believe these are being tossed and will have to source somewhere else.
That sucks.
But I appreciate you guys for the replies, I claim to be slightly knowledgeable, but nowhere near most in this community.

I would just boil them in tea and you are fine.
Eating mold really isn't dangerous, its breathing in tons of spores that you gotta watch out for.

Worst thing that may happen is some loose stools.
Solid advice, don't buy online. If you are just doing personal just do PF Tek. You're money ahead growing your own.
