Definitely too little FAE... are they... trying to clone themselves... either that or some bad mold going on. Around the bottom looks like myc though.

What about this one? I had to leave them while I was traveling and come home to this:
What do you think? It’s in a shoebox with little FAE It looks like just myc growing on top of it right? Or could it be another mold?
Very strange looking, I wouldn't trust it but I don't know much. The caps getting so fuzzy only at the tip is weird looking. Celeste is right though it does look like mycelium near the bottom.

I wouldn't eat those...but i wouldn't give up on the tub yet either.

There's gotta be some kind of bacteria or mold in there. Just ime when I had that issue with white mold all my tubs displayed symptoms like this. With cubes, gourmet, and stone producers alike. I hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, i was afraid of it.. I just tossed it, actually buried in one of my flowers pot, lets see how it goes..
I harvest some of the stones before, but they were kinda soft, not very hard, but still not slimey like the ones i've got before when it was contaminated with bacteria.. But i dont think i will consume them..
Well, thank you for all the answers!

For all of you who grow pans aswell. How wet do you keep your casings for sclerotia species? I cased yesterday and I keep my casing as wet as with my pans.. glistening!

jumping in this thread finally
I had some atl7 on agar for ages, I let it sit but it never threw a pin or knots, took a transfer to a new plate last month and found a pin the other day, shoulda snapped a pic :c
Definitely snagged that bugger and put him on a new plate and then took a transfer from a cluster of knots out of that same plate before dropping it to some rye berries along with the other plate I had laying around
Gonna throw the transfer plates in my big ass gallon(half gallon maybe?) jars when they fill out and then report back in a month or two lol

These will do great in the same conditions pans like. I fruit them in the same chamber.

Thank you! Only grown them once and had great success. That grow is my avatar. Was a couple years ago tho and after casing 10 shoeboxes all with different clones yesterday I want to do it right
What I do remember tho is some trusted cultivator told me I could spray them heavily and keep the mushrooms moist at all then. I sprayed them like crazy and had for me great success. So will do that this gime around aswell.
Thankd AKA

Glad I held out on the Jalisco germ plate, finally got some growth and took 6x T1's last night.
Went back to my Tamp T1 plate which had 6 xfers on it as well, I had already moved on to T2 but saw a very orange colony that I went back to to expand as well. I think I remember reading some correlation between good stone producing cultures and that orange color myc
Meant to grab some pics this morning, I hate taking them with my phone anymore. My girls iPhone takes much better pics, I'll see if I cant get her to send me a few while I'm at work.

So you're telling me the guy with the username "Camera93" doesn't have a quality photography device??
I've seen tannish and even almost brownish myc on agar but orange sounds nuts

Pudu I do the same and actually after it starts pinning I water around the pins pretty extensively a little more that with pans and from my experience they love it. Also I believe it's the key to getting good stone production. Dry subs won't produce much or at all if the sub doesn't have a lot of water but with these I've even had pools of water( which I'm not suggesting) and they didn't seems to mind at all

Why water with a syringe? I know why we do it with Pans. But with my extremely limited experience with sclerotia species. I sprayed my pins and fruits A LOT everyday and that is the grow from my avatar
Again.. I have very limited experience, but they seemed to love it? I really sont remember, but I want to say it was Mycorado (spellcheck) the guy with sand casing, who told me that they love water.

Who's watering with a syringe.. me? I use the mist bottle but see no need to mist the shot out of pins if I'm aiming to do it to the surface so I just mist around the pins in areas without pins.

Yeah the wedge grew all directions and then seems to just have started growing onto the agar.
It’s hard to tell from the pic but the thicker myc is like a globe around the wedge.
