Looks like the hoaxing physician Dr. Norman M. Yoder died June 9, 1971.

Good detective work, NB! Apparently he died of a skull fracture, after falling and busting his head on the concrete really bad. Ouch!
Anyway, today is the 35th anniversary of when they found a group of acid dealers who were in possession of 100 grams of crystal LSD!

100 grams of crystal in 1986??? Wow...with all the precursors being watched at that time in history, this feat is downright AMAZING...unless it was from a time before LSD was made illegal, which is highly improbable.
What a sad, sad loss. I wonder what they do with it after it's used as evidence against the defendants? How do they dispose of it? DO THEY dispose of it?

I always wonder about those 100g busts.. especially with kids so young. I mean don't get me wrong, when I was that age I knew people who were selling grams of LSD on a monthly basis. But 100g? Maybe they are weighing other stuff just to look good for a bust. Happens all the time especially back then. Usually those busts only happen when they nailed chemists or labs. But there were LSD labs in the Santa Cruz mountains back then usually run by college kids as chemists and older folks handling lab sources and locations and precursors who were major players... so 100g isn't unheard of. But that's still crazy, I wonder what those kids punishment was.
But in 1986, there was a serious amount of LSD being handled through Santa Cruz.. so I could believe it honestly. I mean I knew people who pick up 30g of LSD at a time or had probably 90-120g of different batches on them at a time... but those are major, major players who are old folks.

Yes, it's very sad. I'm sure it was sent to the incinerator unfortunately.

It's hard to say Typewriter. I have no idea of the specifics of the case. I could see it happening though. I'll bet you have a lot of great stories though. I never knew anyone that connected.
