Hey all I'm gonna run a few non organic pseudo casing layers to be applied at the time of spawning. I ran this idea idea in the general mush cult thread. I am expecting pins any day now so I figured I would start to post some pics. THIS IS ONLY FOR PICTURES! It will take me a lil while to do all of these. I will buy more supplies as time goes on.I will continue to post as the flush continues and I do more. If you like the idea/pics leave me 5 hit that like button and subscribe jk jk These are a bunch I thought of. I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions. Artificial flowers Carbon pellets Marbles pie weights/ BBs Mother fuckin Orbeez Pom Poms Reptile Terrarium Liner (shitty green liner) coins Finished puzzle Tiny spools of yarn Christmas lights mostly in the substrate but popping out (just thought of this) Chicken wire/screens/Grates (maybe not novelty)
These will all be done with proven Isolates. ------------------------------------------------------------- -PomPoms

-Corona virus pom poms

-Marbles
    -Grates (novelty until proven useful)

Post will be edited with new ideas and pictures Obviously I don't own this idea. If anyone is inspired please join in on the fun.

I hope some get stuck on the top of the caps as they grow up I think that would be the money shot. These tubs are 9 and 11 days old and this culture usually knots up 11 days after spawning. I would love to hear suggestion for other materials. There are so many mediums to play with. Biodegradable glitter is on my list too but it would cost like 40 USD just for a dusting.

What about semi precious stones? You could do them all to your favourite colours or even your birth stones. This is actually amazing, btw. Can't wait to see how this turns out.

I love those, I hope they work!
When I first found this forum and spent hours looking at photos, I admit I thought "ughh, mushrooms really do not grow from a pretty sight..."
Now I do appreciate a glistening tub but wow those colours really do add some appeal!
If you know anyone who knits/crochets, a little blanket would be class...

Did you sterilize or anything??
One of the craziest things Iβve had happen was I pasteurized sub in an oven bag with two needle poles covered in micropore tape. I ended up just using the bag as a liner and the myc grew through the pores in the tape and came out the other side super fluffy itβs hard to explain. Would be interesting to tape up the surface.
It was the tape made from the cloth like material not paper though.

For sure i probably have enough crystal, gems and polished stones for a tub. I'll get this one done. The marbles took 4 pounds to cover one of these half tubs. I really dont know how that much weight is going to effect things.

Not really.I put the pom-poms in water brought it to a boil and took them out. That was mainly to see if the color would leach. The marbles and grates got a PBW bath, a rinse and sat in some Saniclean same as all the tubs. All overkill but thats what i have an abundance of.
Being that nothing is organic I see no reason to sterilize anything, Just to practice good sanitation in general.

My second suggestion is rings.
PS: I have often wondered about the screen/grate idea you mentioned actually-- seems like a very logical way to regiment micro-climate better than sand/gravel.

THIS would be very interesting, mushrooms growing in what looks like a field, but the field is a field of micro-greens!
Epic pictures shall be had!
