Exactly! And I wonder if that's why my girls experience was so-so. I think I gave her caps from big fruits. So I'm thinking you really want great flushes of the normal sized fruits like BH's grows.

still getting garbage🤬🤬
this is the tray with the red spored fruits in there that is just putting up nothing but light colored skinny small capped taller fruits . the other tray i just pulled a bunch more mutants off it. so im calling this grow a complete bust and i am just gnna let these things finish out for whatever weight i can get outta them and just grind em up an capsule them.
but the average fruits i did manage to get and clone i am going to take transfers ton and give those a go and see if its any better. but BH is also getting the exact same thing i am. which is making me think its just the genetics the prints happened to give us🤷🏼 so who knows cuz like u said asura u gave us the 2 best biggest prints u had. i know mine was fuckin huge.

ya i hope so too🤷🏼 whaddya do tho. shit happens right.
ima be takn the clone transfers here in a cpl hrs tho. ive got some bacteria to navigate around so im def gnna be taking 2 sets of transfers on these to make sure shit is 100% clean and aint nuttn hiding in it. but im also thinkkn of goin back to print and seeing if it gives the same thing again. cuz if so then il know its just what the print is givin me.

Not disagreeing, but the way I had read it was that each mushrooms contains like X amount of actives. So a big mushroom has a lot more 'filler':active where as the smaller mushrooms have less 'filler':active.
So more small fruit = more active per g.
Or maybe I got the wrong end of the stick.

Its strange. It isn't like "well this mushroom was gonna be a semi-potent large mushroom but since it aborted it still has the same active content in a smaller package"?
Also, is there a reason growing out mycelium on brf and then drying and grinding that up and using it in its powdered form to trip isn't more commonly practiced? Like how stamets sells his reishi powders or whatever.

I did read a tek that was for extracting from myc. Literally just colonising loads of jars of grain, then using that to make tea.
I have no good answer to why fruiting is favoured though.
Other than guesses about the amount of actives and quality of the actives.

Myc itself only produces minimal amount of actives. Also the weight is mostly the substrate itself, not the mycelium.
If you collect a gram of young pins they're gonna be way more potent than a gram of mature fruits.

Well I have plenty, lol. Spores and mushrooms lol. I just didn't know if it was feasible or a halfway decent option for someone who didn't want to go through the process of harvesting mushrooms. Idk

That only works with a couple species that have active myc. Search for myceliated grain I think it’s called.
The way I understand the size vs actives thing is, and this is just a simplified example idk actual numbers or if it’s even correct, is that pins form with much higher alkaloids by weight. As they grow they’ll produce more actives but at a much slower rate. So say a pin weighs 1g and has .5mg psilocybin in it, if you let it grow it’ll end up 15g with 2mg psilocybin in it.
I can never tell if I’m making sense when I’m too high.

Big fruits might not be as potent by weight as they were as pins but, that doesn’t mean that they stop producing actives as they mature. I wouldn’t have dared eat this SWPE by myself or even with a friend:

Only Subtropicalis and Zapotecorum have active micelium but you have to leave them in the jars for at least 3 months. And in that amount of time you'll get much more actives if you grew mushrooms out of that spawn.

Thats definitely more than a mouth full.
So got a couple pictures of Blue springs bag. I noticed spot poke thru right about at @48 hrs. Is there anything there my blind ass don’t see?
http://
I have a tray of leftover casing there for comparison.
I’m not sure exactly what I’m doing here. Right now I have the humidity fluctuating from 99.5% to 91% with the fan cycles it takes about an hour to go from high to low and back high again.
Saturday night I misted it so I can start the evap strong. I was so fucking high. I sprayed directly at my RH probe. As soon as the alarm sounded, I seen exactly wtf I just did. I was NOT planning on that! Lmao.

Pseudoaztecorum does as well. I've had two good trips from it. My attempts with zaps was a dead end. Didn't work for me.

They are not the only ones. Many species have active myc, including Azurescens and even Cubes.

That is interesting, I found zap mycelium developed a crazy blue tint even while it was well hydrated and pinning.
