Well...this plate
got me these stones
So there's no consistent proof to the statement that yellowed agar mycelium equals stones.

Why doesn't someone run a good proven culture in 2 different tubs, one in a humid/high fae environment and the other in a cube? I guarantee you'll see less stones in the first one

Are you saying stones would form more in the jar or in a bulk bag as opposed to spawned to bulk in a mono or something?

Probably not. Masters mix is hardwood pellets and soybean hulls. These guys you'll want to use either a coir or manure based substrate.

I believe so! Some other folks more familiar with Jalisco may chime in with more information.

All the Mexicana and Tampanensis will perform on the same subs/conditions as they're almost identical

Built a JCM style FC for doing pans... can I also use this to try to fruit Tamps? I've got a half dozen shoeboxes with monster stones but none will fruit... threw 2 in there as testers. Will update when something happens...

Nice clean looking JCM roarkell. I like that you have all the cabled and air tubes tucked away. What I've read in this thread is that you can use a Pan FC for tamps and mexicana but they won't produce as many stones because of the high RH.

No I'm saying you'd get more stones in suboptimal conditions.

I totally understand your reasoning. I mean that's probably why it creates stones in the first place but after being breed for generations, selecting strains that produce stones consistently just from my experience I'd say I've gotten more stones out of a good grow opposed to a grow where the condition were suboptimal.

I think it will work great if you're looking for fruits. Especially compared to a shoebox which for me was hard to dial in for Tamps(too dry.)
Here's a great grow by C10 using the chamber: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26565367/fpart/8/vc/1#26565367
And another great one by roundabout who I believe was also using the chamber: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/27099940#27099940
So if you're looking for fruit then yes it'll work

Yeah don’t be afraid to get them wet like pans.
My first shot at atl they all aborted at a couple inches tall from being too dry. Tamps see to be a little more tolerant of dryness in my limited experience.
My Jalisco from last week that was slow had mold in it. I spawned a new jar the other day and it’s off and running so hopefully I finally get to see some pins.

Thank you guys for all the responses..
What about this one? I had to leave them while I was traveling and come home to this:
What do you think? It’s in a shoebox with little FAE It looks like just myc growing on top of it right? Or could it be another mold?
