No problem and that is the one he has
They are actually so good that I gave him a small Fig tree, and he grew that Fig tree underneath that light the whole winter and it even started producing small figs! He even grew all his pepper plants under it too.

First 2 minutes of this video has my mind made up. I was thinking of adding LED to my old school light. I wanted to be able to add more directional light, not have to worry about cacti only getting light on one side.
Anyway, I don't want that red light, I want to sit in my grow room and enjoy the light. 3000k would be nice to enjoy, drink my coffee

I can't view it, it says age restricted, but yes I bought one of those expensive ones, and I couldn't even sit in my room, because it was so loud from the fan that I couldn't even hear my TV! It was also so bright that I still think it did some bad damage to my eyes. I got rid of that thing after I did one small grow with it too. LED's just are not meant to be used in the same room that you reside in, not those bright purple hued ones that is. I just use cheap LED stoplights on all my plants and they are all growing in my room, just as well as they did when I had that LED monstrosity in here! I can also see again and hear now, so it's a win win

That was a cheap LED light if it had a fan. The best LED's these days don't need fans because they're so efficient and are attached directly to a heatsink for silent cooling.
I would be very cautious before buying a cheap LED light online. 95% of the time, they're stating a false wattage. That "500w" originally linked actually only makes 260w of light. For some reason, the LED companies still benchmark against HPS lamps so they mean equivalent to 500w while using only 260w. But that doesn't mean that you're getting as much light as an HPS with only 260w, that's just not true for multiple reasons. And that's just the wattage. They (the 99% of LED companies which are all from China) inflate their stats in many misleading ways.
$40 lights are better than nothing but they're not going to be good, at least not in comparison to the high quality LEDs. Checkout horticulture lighting group, they sell the highest LED tech without all the bullshit.

Yeah well, I don't use them anymore any way. I'll just stick with my cheap $20 dollar LED shop lights from Walmart
But hey, thanks for that input
I really only just need supplemental lighting while my plants are in for the winter, and while starting up seedlings, no need for me to shell out big bucks on an expensive LED, not unless I'm solely an indoor grower, and I'm not.
