No.. I was playing with casing/top layer timing.. I late cased the side fruiting and the left side got a really late casing and it’s not doing much as you can see.. all good though. Figured out what I need to do for the next tubs

All my germ plates right now. Prob 90% of all the prints I’ve got were streaked.

I’m having yet another problem with my burner so it’s about time to jump on the wheels of steel.

That’s a germ plate? It looks great man it must’ve been the only colony. I’d grain it for sure.
I’ve got a jar of natalensis clone a few days away from spawn too. Soooo stoked to be having stuff going again finally.

Yea man. Germination plate. I dabbed a couple of plates instead of the zigzag technique I used on most of them. The others look really nice also but this particular plate is something else.
I'm a sucker for lc so that is what I'll be doing before going to grain.
How do you like that ffu that you won? Is it your first hood? I was thinking about ordering me one in the future.
I'm not familiar with natalensis. Is it a cube variety?

My fourth MonoTub all in all and my first Monotub since 2017.
In my opinion looking very healthy and the pinset seems to be not that bad for a multispore-tub. First real pins are there now, I am very happy

The hood is awesome man. I never would’ve spent the money myself unless I got to try one out first but it’s definitely worth it.
Natalensis looks a lot like cubes but they finally ran the genetic sequencing stuff and it’s a separate species. It’s confusing though cuz there’s also a cube from the same area called natal super strength.
The thread about it is definitely worth checking out. They’re pretty unanimously PE potent with an awesome trip. Myc selection/genetics seem to be huge with them though, some people get canopies and some get weird puffy myc that turns into a rubbery block before fruiting. The myc has also punched through the liner and spread around underneath it every time.

To tag on this, aka sent me prints and told me about the thread. I caught up with it and at the time we didn't know it was a different species so I treated it like a cube. I went for rhizomorphs and all that, I have a journal so I won't bog this down. But I got fruits, not anything special. Enough for fruits and prints.
This go round with that jar you commented on (thanks btw) I specifically hunted the more tomentose panaeleous-like mycelial structure and put that to grain. So once I spawn it we'll see how it goes? Lol
And as for the trip, well I put this into the nat thread

Damn that was fast, homie glad you got clean growth off the print
I’d keep the top layer thin and then case/top layer with a 1/4” @ day 8ish. They pin around day 11/12. every culture is gonna be different obviously, but in a general sense it’s a heavy knotter but won’t carry most of those knots to pins unless they’re in a partially uncolonized layer and it’ll Eat through a top layer pretty fast @ 1:2.. the best results I’ve had is doing it with the later casing. Which is what I did here
And the right side on this one.. for this culture anyway

That’s my plan with one of the clone tubs I have coming up and the other I’m going to case like my PE with peat but only use the one 1/2” layer.
And that’s all to get fuller coverage with pins but even if you get spotty coverage, you’ll still get roughly the same weight, they’ll just be bigger with the fewer pins.. like most varieties. I’m getting at least an oz per myco qt on the first flush... here’s some bigger 2nd flushes I just pulled

Edit: At the same time, this ms tub did alright with just a thin top layer at spawning

So it’s gonna vary
