HEPA Filter on Clearance

24" x 24" x 12" HEPA
Found this on clearance for $190 if anyone else is also searching like me.
Before I purchase, can anyone confirm this will be adequate? Would hate to send it and make the purchase for it to not be what I need

looks like it only filters to .3 microns looking for .001

Seems like 0.3 microns is the smallest I can find. Cant find 0.001 microns, that would be ridiculously small no? Most bacteria are 0.1-10 microns and mold spores 2-10 microns.
Do you mean 99.99% efficiency? If so, how does this one look: 99.99 Hepa
If you do mean 0.001 microns, any source for those filters?

I don't see in that write up where it says .001 microns. That's ridiculously small, and would be an ULPA filter. .3 microns is standard for HEPAs. 0.001 microns is so small, in fact, that it would filter out the smallest virus known to man, which is 20 nm (or .02 microns) in diameter.

That'll work, remember that you also have to invest in blower that can push enough air through that thing though!

You want 99.99% trapping
There's no .001 micron hepa filter

That’s what I figured thanks
Does it matter the depth of it? Most I see are 12” but this one HEPA is only 3” deep
Edit: If I am not mistaken the 3" is fine it just changes the plenum space. 3" will just have a shorter lifespan than a 6" or 12", but also allows for a smaller, lighter flow hood. Correct?

does not have to be perfect get one with good resistance, so you obtain even air flow, will never find a laminar hood filter, as they are just repurposed filters. get 99.99 since it costs the same as 99.97 the filters should have a chart showing the resistance test,

You guys are confusing the percent efficiency with the pore size... But that one you have there is really efficient. I wish I owned one
