well said, aside from a few high-visibility, identity related wedge issues, most democrats are just conservatives.

Agreed. What counts for "the left" in America is pretty conservative in a global context.

Nonagon Infinity said: No, I don't think the left is going to "turn" on Biden.
"The left's" biggest weakness right now is that we are so divided amongst ourselves that we can't unify ourselves on a common cause. For example, my parents and I are both "lefties". However, I tend more towards the extreme left (anarchism) while my parents would be best classified as neo-liberals. We are both on "the left," but when you get down to the details of politics, we couldn't disagree more.
For example: I believe healthcare should be universal, the same way that our taxes provide universal coverage in the forms of firefighters or police officers. My parents believe that the best way to address healthcare is with a compromise between universal and private healthcare, where people can opt-in or opt-out. Basically, they think Obamacare was a good idea (whereas I think it was a bad idea because it wasn't left-leaning enough).
My parents believe Joe Biden was the best Democratic candidate in the 2020 election. They love Kamala Harris and Biden because they love anything that isn't Trump. I think Biden was a terrible choice. I think he has a track record of racial insensitivity, he helped draft the "tough on crime" bill in the 90's with Hillary Clinton, which largely contributed to the mass incarceration we're experiencing today, I think his choice of Kamala Harris was extremely insensitive to the demands of the leftist BLM protests (considering that she was a state prosecutor and consistently advocated for incarceration for minor drug offenses). I don't like Joe Biden, and when I found out that he won the Democratic nomination, my heart sank down to my stomach. My favorite Democratic candidate in 2020 was Bernie Sanders. My parents strongly disagree with me about this.
I hope this helps you understand some more details about the way that "the left" is divided against itself. We are not unified at all politically, yet our lovely two-party system forces us all into the same box. I dragged my feet to the polls and voted for Joe Biden, but I'm not happy about it at all. I saw him as the lesser of two evils, and I think it's extremely fucked up that the lesser of two evils is the best we can do right now, instead of producing a candidate that we can all take pride in.
So, to answer your original question: no, the left isn't going to "turn" on Biden because a large percentage of the left never liked Biden to begin with. I'm a leftist, and I never liked him, really. My criticism of Biden is pretty similar to my criticism of Obama (perhaps unsurprisingly - after all, Biden was Obama's VP): he's not left-leaning enough to lead us towards any meaningful change. I think the best thing we can hope for from Biden is stuff like Obamacare: weak, socialist-flavored compromises that are vulnerable to Republican obstructionism.
I couldn't agree with you more.

I'm not a Democrat, but I am a liberal who does not support Biden or Trump. I'm not a republican either. Believe it or not you don't have to be at one end or the other.
I have to say that the Democrats had lousy candadite choices. Harris was already decided to be unworthy of running for president so to ad her to the ticket was adding insult to injury after Biden.
Not only does the candidate suck but you've already rejected his running mate, but vote for him anyway simply because Trump is horrible.
Brilliant. America has died and won't be going back from the dead.
So yes, once view of Trump is lost in the horizon people will realize how lousy Biden is, but the media won't report anything about that.
Right now Democrats aren't celebrating that Biden won, they're celebrating that Trump lost.
They might periodically rent about how Trump screwed everything up, and how his supporters are still doing evilz and occasionally report about how he screwed up, but Biden fixed it; this will be the only way Biden will get continued support and is the strategy the pigs used in Animal Farm.
But he will come into focus once Trump is long gone.

It's pretty simple really. Biden wasn't Trump. And he wasn't Bernie. Harris is a surrogate for both of those points.

The left dosen't like Biden. Some of them voted for him in an effort to push Trump out, but as far as I can see the only ones who truly "like" Biden are liberals.

Biden's covid plan is now $1,400 stimulus checks, as well as money towards states, unemployment, and vaccine rollout to open schools.
Well, I guess that adds up to $2k considering the $600 that just passed, but it doesn;t bode well.
The other stuff I generally agree with.

Ya Biden inspires no enthusiasm at all nobody likes him and Trump is inspiring as fuck and uses that to send an angry mob to attack his own govt to stay in power . Even though there was constant speculation about this happening , pretty much throughout his whole term , motherfuckers voted for Biden anyway . Can you believe it ? I can't believe it .

It doesn't really matter. The left, as in the real left (not the make believe version of the left many Republicans have) doesn't exist here. People certainly have the views of the real left, but there is no party. So until somebody puts together a plan, finds some money, and fights off the Dems to create a party that can actually get people elected, it will stay the same. In summary, there's isn't any "left" to turn on Biden. We might all get mad, be disappointed, but ultimately Biden is still better than Trump. So our vote will still end up with Biden despite him being dead and way too centrist. For a corpse, he sure speaks pretty well, it is refreshing. I will give him that.
We all know that Biden won because Trump is a colossal failure. Had Trump spent as much effort managing the Covid situation as he has on denying the results of the election he would have his second term. The Dems have to start preparing for running Kamala in 2024.
