 Is this contam in my spawn bag?

Hey all, new to the forums. Also new to growing mushrooms ! Really excited to get into the process. I made spawn bags with Rye berry soaked them and then did the pressure cooking at 15 psi for 90 minutes. I added the injection port after the fact on top of spore tape, I am not sure if this may be a error in my sanitary steps. But today I noticed growth in my bag but wanted to confirm if its healthy or not. Thank you for reading and responding !

Give it some more time and it’ll be clear what it is. To me it’s looking good so far

I'm not so optimistic but time will tell you for sure. Mold also grows much faster than myc usually, so see how much growth happens in 24hrs

Looks like mold to me. How big are your bags? I PC quart jars of millet or WBS for 90 minutes, but when I use larger grain I PC for 2 hours @ 15psi. If your bags are bigger than quart jars, you may have to increase your PC time even more than that.

Thank you so much for the replies ! The bags are 3 pound bags and I am using Rye berry grain, I have the room set to around 77. I have a few bags inoculated and nothing so far in the other bags. The other thing since I’m new to this, is it normal that the white is sticking to the bag and the grains ? Like if I move the bag there is a white print on the bag too . Thanks all !

Also I wanted to ask, is it possible ever to save a bag by breaking it up early to see if the mycelium will fight it off ? Thank you for the answers

Both bags are toast.
Mycelium wont fight contamination, it will only succumb to contamination. If contamination could be beat by mycelium it wouldn't be contamination. There is a reason why everything has to be so incredibly clean.
Breaking up a contaminated bag will only just speed up the process if you did not break up the bag in the first place. So when it is contaminated it will ALWAYS be contaminated.
