You paid for your PC, you pay for the internet, you pay for the electricity to run it all, you pay to maintain your the system, the software licensing is purchased, advertisers rely on your platform, there's no requirement for people to participate, they just do it on their own accord because they like to see videos of you banging your wife in public. To join, they agree to your terms and conditions.
You aren't allowed to delete anything because it hurts feelings.
^ That's you
Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, you name it, they are garbage. If you want free speech get a soap box and start yelling at people in a public space. The internet has very few spaces that aren't owned by a private interest. The Founding Father's weren't gods, they didn't anticipate the internet. Get over it.
This isn't to say that a nice reform of the internet wouldn't be great for society. Guess what? Trump reversed all of the half decent reforms Obama put in place. That fucking retard actually hurt free speech on the internet.

There hasn’t been a good 1A case to hit the SCOTUS in ages, but time and again they vote to uphold it.
That said, this appears to be a free market issue. And conservative judges tend to side with businesses and their right to choose who they do business with.
And there is always the, “You cannot yell, “Fire” in a crowded theatre.” clause.
If you incite a riot, you may not be protected. If you plot to kill your wife with another, you may not be protected.
We frequently ban people here because they say things that can leave the website legally vulnerable. You know? Like, speak freely until you make us vulnerable if we know what you are up to and turn a blind eye. We have also over the years, lost paymasters because they didn’t want to do business with a, “Drug” site.
Seems like business as usual to me. We just saw some high profile bans this last week.

Again, I'm only referring to companies with monopolistic power.

I understand. Do you not understand that monopolies have to play by different rules than other companies? Read the OP again if you're not convinced of the power of existing tech companies to suppress new entries.
So this is an antitrust argument not anti-censorship
Parler has an argument those companies engaged in anticompetitive tactics

It has authority to censor a government instrument of communication?

To me, less censorship by any monopolistic company is more free speech.

I've already agreed with all that. But the shroomery recently banned a member who didn't break any rules, he just got on a the mod's nerves (Vahn421). So I can expect a ban anytime.
