Microdoses may have saved my wife’s life. 8

Hey everyone, I’ve been browsing this website/message board for a few years now and finally made an account.
My wife has been struggling with treatment resistant depression all of her life and it has only gotten worse since College and starting her career. She ended up having to resign from her job and go into an intensive out patient program at the hospital.
She’s been through three different programs now, countless different medications since she was 16, weekly therapy sessions, and nothing has helped as much as microdosing seems to.
From this website I learned how to grow B+ cubes, I dehydrate and grind them down to 100mg capsules. The first time she took a microdose she cried because she felt something change, she asked me if this is how normal people actually felt.
In so thankful for all of you, all of the information, all of help.

this made me happy to hear somebody got so much help. I think mushrooms can be a miracle cure for many for various illnesses.
It is also worth pursuing bigger doses like 1g -> at some point

Ah yes, that raw emotion that shrooms can bring up is something therapists should be freely using on patients. I bet if this came about the world would be in a much better place. Glad to hear the positive outcome

We’ve done a few 1-2g doses together and they’ve been fantastic experiences. I remember looking in the mirror and realizing I liked who I saw. First time I think I’ve ever actually been happy being me, I’ve usually never really thought about how I saw myself.

Awesome! The same happed with my sister. She has been wildly moody and depressed for as long as I can remember and last year id had enough of her self depricating behaviour and gave her a giant bag of microdoses. She is literally a different person a year later. Doesnt take any of her antidepressants anymore. Pretty Rad to see.
Microdosing also snapped me out of a pretty deep funk from PTSD also. Its amazing how much it improves mood and general outlook on life.

This was an amazing post to read/find. I myself have struggled with depression for far to long, and recently I've begun the journey towards growing an using my own medicine. It's a slow, but steady process. I wish you both all the luck on your journey.

Here are a couple interesting articles:
Journal of Psychopharmacology article on microdosing
Study comparing Psilocybin LSD and Ketamine for depression
Note: the dosages referred to in both articles are for the chemical psilocybin not mushrooms.

I know microdosing saved me. I'm here to learn how to cultivate and see if anyone has dosing schedules/regimes for PTSD and depression.
The relief at having some of the weight of depression lifted is indescribable. It's like being able to take a deep breath after months of small, shallow, panick breathing- you don't even realize how much pain you were in until it's gone.
I'm glad to hear your wife is doing better and if you have futher reports on the long term effects, I'd love to hear it. I was able to take a larger microdose and then went three months without- I felt better than before, without any of the rebound that I've experienced from having to come off SSRI's or other antidepressents. Mushrooms, weirdly, seem to have a longer term antidepressant effect for me. I would love to try a every other day/small daily dose with the occaional larger dose to see if I can get a lot closer to normal without HAVING to microdose.
It's good to know we're not alone, brother. Thank you for posting this.

This is the same exact reason why I have researched and decided to grow GT. My wife has treatment resistant MDD and has tried every pill under the sun. I am hoping to have start fruiting in a week or so and have something ready for her. It gets tougher everyday and I am hopeful this will be the answer we need. I just wish I decided to try this sooner. The wait is killer.

Has your wife tried Ketamine infusion (the kind administered in a doctor's office)? Very effective for many (including myself) for treatment resistant MDD.
