Opinions on the construction of my substrate

Hello,

I'm about to make a bulk substrate for a 66qt tub. I plan to use 5L of spawn, 6L of manure, 6L of coconut, 3L of vermiculite and 1L of gypsum.

In total it gives me 20L of substrate discarding the liter of gypsum (3 "high of substrate)

What do you think about this?

What are you cultivating? The manure may not be needed and is quite possibly disadvantages.

Searching for bucket tek will give you what you need for cubes.

I like manure but it can fuck up a grow if its not pasteurized right

Id go heavy on coco coir, and light on manure

You can also add a very small amount of used coffee grinds

If its your first time you can go simpler and just do coir or 5050 verm/manure

That's a ton of gypsum. Everything I have seen indicates on the order of a tablespoon or less per liter of coir.

Gypsum hasn't been shown to be beneficial except excess moisture in grain jars. First though, what are you growing? Cubes or pans? If it's cubes, coir and verm and a bucket.

I stick with pure coir. I reccomend, for cubensis, that you do too.
