Fuck me. I am having bad luck. I just started my PC. Waited for 10 mins of steam then put the weight on. I hear the Rubber Overpressure Plug hissing a lil bit. I turned off my PC i was gonna check everything looked kosher in there. Should i not even bother? order a new plug? trash the 18#s of seed in there? Or giv her a go and hope for the fuckin best. I was about to soak seed to run tomorrow also.
I might shit my self if that thing blows mid run

Sometimes I gotta give my plug a little lube otherwise it just won't fit right.

... Somehow since i was rushing i put a bag in upside down. I have done this before when using a plate ontop of the bags. I actually realized i forgot the plate. Thought about it for a min and foolishly did not correct my mistake to save a lil bit of time. The upside down bag was inflating and pressing up against the overpressure plug.
-Don't cut corners. -Order back up parts. -Smoke less weed.. dunno bout that. -If something seems off, it probably is.Figure out the problem before going further.

Usually you can just tap it with a wood spoon or something while its coming up to pressure and it will seal

New ones are cheap. I replace them after they start doing that regularly.

I opened it up turned the bag right side up and put a plate in. Waited for steam and put the weight on. It didnt make any noise. I am over an hour into this cycle now. And of course poked it with a stick baby Have a source for a back up @>$20?

ya little vasoline has worked for me... not suppost to do it and highly dangerous but if that doesnt work u could flip the plug. still a weak point if really hit some crazy PSI.
but as other said luber up good and generally will seal up after a bit may have to get teh pressure up and seats it and then seals eventually. sometimes just taking it out and puting it back in or a little spin fixes things.
they go after LOONG time and why they sell replacements

Please don't do this bw...
I've liked seeing you around for here for quite a while, and it would be a damn shame to loose one of our people to a cult related bombing incident...
You might go down as the country's first would be mush terrorist.

lol I have had this PC for maybe 10 years? bowed out a few prestos before it. I have never one time lubed my gasket. I would never think about flipping the gasket. As soon as it made a noise i knew something was up. The problem was fixed when i stopped noobing out.
