First time monotub: Is this looking healthy or contaminated?

Hello everyone,
I prepared my CVG substrate and spawn a week ago exactly in an unmodified monotub. I put the lid upside down and gave FAE and 6500k lighting from day one. I misted when I saw the surface being dry.
How does this look? I am concerned because there are no pins yet and I am not sure if the white blobs are hyphae knots or primordia or what? Can you please offer you two cents? Thank you very much.

Its just mycelium. I dont see any contam in your tub, its just thirsty. Monitor it and as soon as it dries up, you must mist, read this
You may want to lower the fae until pins pop up, looks like you might have high evaporation or too little substrate water, how much water did you add originally?

It looks a bit bacterial but nothing really concerning. It's also looking dry. How's the lid? Upside down? If that's the case I'd put it on normally again until you start seeing knots. Is that light resting right on top of the lid by any chance? That could worsen the situation that's why I ask.

I added 4 qt of water with one 650g brick of coir, 500ml gypsum, and 6 qt of verm. I know that the recipe calls for 2 qt of verm but I bought a huge bag of verm that is of poor water absorption quality and requires 3x more to reach field capacity.

Ok I put the lid normally to see if it will resolve the issue. The light is an inch or two above the lid but generates practically no heat. It's a 2x 10w LED 6500k. Did you mention the light because of the heat factor?

That may be a little on the dry side. I add 4,5 qts of water and 3 qts of verm to a 650grams brick. You don't need gypsum at all but it doesn't hurt either. 500ml of gypsum is a lot though, it doesn't hurt but adding that much may compound the situation and make your sub even dryer.

Yea if you have a light right on top of the lid it can produce enough heat to dry things up more rapidly.
I would just put the lid back on normally (not upside down) until you see knots and give it a light mist if you see things getting dry, but very careful with how often you mist because you could deteriorate the surface.
