Hye, im trying to get some first hand info on phalaris grass extractions. Im first going to use wild specimins growing allongside a road and later wil be using leaf from a 8x8' patch i made in my backyard. I got the seeds off ebay so i doubt its a good strain but ill pick out the most potent plant and clone that. For those that have done the extraction or know of someone who has, first, how much tar do you normally get from a given weight of dry/wet leaf and using what acid, base, and solvent? Second, what color product do you get with your meathod?

Phalaris isn't a very good source and you will mainly get 5meo. If its wild harvested its even worse as a source. I recall the Psychedelic Shamanism book where the author claims to make a highly potent Phalaris extract simply from boiling it down to tar. I find this an outragously unscientific claim.

Reed Canary Grass is not a good soruce of DMT. About the best source for DMT is Mimosa Hostillis root bark. There also happens to be a very detailed extraction process compiled by a person named Quantum Tantara. It's called QT's Dimethyltryptamine extraction method. You can find it over at Spiritplants.com under the articles section. Desmanthus Illinoiensis is a very good source also. Take Deepblue42's advice. They are fairly easy to grow but you are going to have to wait a while before harvesting the roots!

Desmanthus seeds are damn easy to find in the midwest I am sure someone here will trade with you. JLHudson has them but they take quite a long time to ship. Some vendors sell the seed too but someone here will surely trade.

Exactly where is the misinformation in this post? This is the second time you have stated this about me and its rather getting on my nerves. I totally disagree about Vendors straying from wild crafted plants as many of the plants I, and other vendors, offer are ethically wildcrafted from South America.

If that was true, why does he post about Peterson's field guides for the purpose of finding and identifing native ethnogens?

Forget all the fuss. If you look at QT's DMT Extraction Method, it has the percetages of DMT detailed in it's contents. Mimosa hostilis root bark has one of the higher percentages on the list. I believe the only plant with more was some type of Acacia. Reed Canary Grass isn't worth the time simply because you will extract some other nasties along with the famed Spirit Molecule! Smoking Bufotenine does not seem like an enlightening prospect to me!!! Besides, Mimosa Hostilis root bark is very easy to aquire; not to mention QT's Method was developed specifically for MHRB, so how could you go wrong?
