ID request for small white mushrooms growing out of rotting wood near San Diego

My wife and I went walking through the same seasonal stream bed on our property today and she spotted these growing out of rotted wood. Biome includes palm, scrub oak, pine, ash, euc, and fig, as well as grasses. We're at approx. 700' elevation.
We had our first good rain a couple weeks ago, and it has been warming up to the high-60s to low-mid 70s during the day, and dropping into the mid-upper 30s at night.
The mushrooms themselves are only approx. 1 cm in height with caps no larger than .5cm. I did not pull any to collect a spore print, as I do not know whether these have just sprouted or if they are full size. Any help in identifying these would be warmly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I can't tell you what you have, but I can say they're not psychoactive if that's what you want to know

That's certainly a start - thanks! Tbh tho I would be curious to ID these (as well as the non-mushroom fungi I've posted here).
I might take a walk back down there with my DSLR to photograph some other fungi and to see if thee have grown and/or to take a sample for a spore print.
To your knowledge, are there species that occur in inland SoCal ecosystems that are toxic to touch? Thanks again...

In order for you to be poisoned by mushrooms. The mushrooms must enter the gastrointestinal tract.
Edit: Play around with the white balance and other settings on your camera, white mushrooms can be be difficult to photograph until you get used to adjusting the amount of light entering the camera. To accurately identify your observation, we need to see close up in focus pictures of the cap gills and stem including the stem base for certain Genus. Such as Amanita.

Happy to help, it just may take awhile for me to respond due to family issues, but plenty of other people are capable of helping out as well.
