I disagree. Dogs eating mushrooms out of the ground is one thing. But in order to domesticate dogs,we keep them as puppies. So giving mushrooms consciously to a dog, a dog which trusts you implicitly, is tantamount to giving mushrooms to a toddler.

We were dealing with it until he started pissing in laundry baskets full of clothes that my wife had cleaned and folded. I love the little guy, but I was ready to have him put down over this. It worked like a charm.
Anyway, we didn't get his concent before putting him on Prozak. I sneak it into his food without his knowledge. Is that a bad thing?
While it is certainly cruel to force feed a pet mind altering drugs, let's not get too freaked out about a tripping dog or cat or any other animal for that matter. Long before humanity tainted the earth, hungry creatures were munching down things that grew in the woods. And that includes dogs eating psychedelic mushrooms.
I gave a siamese male prozac for 10 years of his 16 year life. Same deal. He was pissing in the corners of our living room and caused a lot of damage. We adopted him at 5 and the people who dropped him said no urinating issues but his vet history showed he had been on prozac before so we gave it a shot and it worked.
I never saw it as a bad thing and can't see how anyone else should. i mean we tried everything else first; from zapper matts to motion triggered air spray cans, it was like squeezing a balloon, he would just piss somewhere else.

My 25 year old still-living-at-home son seems to have a problem with it. He thinks it's wrong to give the cat a drug and says there are better ways to fix the problem. So far he hasn't come up with any. I told him - it's this or the cat gets put down. He's old, and there's ten million little kitties who need a home and they won't piss in the laundry basket!
I tried the air can too. You're right, he just finds another place to piss.
I will not do this, but I have to wonder if a little shroom powder in his chicken buffet could possibly be a more natural and effective way to fix his pissing problem than Prozak. They should do research.

castrated males I presume? If not, that would explain the pissing. Good for you guys taking care of your pets If there are no other or better options than SSRIs, there should be no problem with that even if it's not natural. Cats living in houses with humans as pets wasn't natural to being with so...

I'm not so sure I would ever give mushrooms to a dog. Seems like disaster
Those dogs perched on those mushrooms look like they can read my mind though

yes its a fucking horrible thing, because you aren't in the cats head experiencing its conciousness to know if its a bad thing or not
i've had my dance with antidepressants and they aren't good for your mind, period. i'd embarass myself / almost crash cars and shit just because i'm thrown off by some shit i'm told is supposed to help me, "keep going so it gets in your blood", or up the dose etc.

You find it "certainly cruel" to force feed a pet drugs, but have no problem killing it because it pisses where you don't like it to piss? What the actual fuck. Killing the animal for peeing is FAR more cruel than attempting to change the cats habits or health through drugs. Maybe you shouldn't have gotten a damn cat to begin with.

THCa can and is converted at room temps. So why exactly is not possible for the temperature of the body to do it?

It can be converted in the body. It's just not efficient. When I was young, before things like google were around, I used to munch buds down all the time. If you eat an eigth, you will get high.

I have no problem putting a cat down because it's old and problematic. Done it 3 times and I'll do it again.

I find it "problematic" that you kill animals for your own lowly, retarded, self-absorbed reasons. Maybe someone should put you down. You're not God. Sounds like you're not even a human.
I could maybe understand if the animal was suffering, but you're talking about an animal that's peeing where you don't like it. That's truly pathetic.
Again, maybe you shouldn't have gotten a damn cat to begin with. Darrr
