Aa+ are definitely slower. They take twice as long as my ksss. I spawned 4 tubs xmas eve they are almost ready to harvest. Hope that helps.

Most definitely helps, thanks. It is difficult because all the questions asked regarding Aa+ are answered: " all cubes have the genetic capability to grow slow or fast ". This is understandable, however, it is vague. Id love to see some pics, bro!

Here is an updated pic. It is hard to tell if there has been any progress but are things still looking good?

Just harvested 2 AA+ tubs yesterday that were spawned on the 24th of December. That was a clone culture however.
With the MS cultures I've done on AA+, I've waited up to 3 weeks before seeing any pins.

You can just introduce to "fruiting conditions" from day 1 after spawning. "Fruiting condition" is the ideal environment for spawned cubes. That looks like it is about to fruit.

I've grown quite a bit of aa+ the past year. It's slower than most other cubes but other than that it requires the same technique any run of the mill cube does. I found light on the blue end of the spectrum will produce more leucistic characteristics. As for the potency supposedly being higher I didn’t notice any difference between it and Thai lipa yai or treasure coast. It's just slower to pin and fruit.

AA+ is one that I keep in rotation, it is pretty slow to colonize and fruit. You can speed that up by cloning one of the larger, faster maturing fruits from your tub. Put a sample to agar, clean, inoculate, and repeat a few times. You'll find that you end up with more aggressive mycelial growth, even pin sets/full canopies, and larger fruiting bodies.

My jars colonize fast.. I have 8 wide mouth, half pint jars that I nocced(aa+ jars)on the 29th of December and they’ll be finished about the 20th of January. It’s just when they get into the tubs is when it starts to get slow IME. However, this current tub is barely showing signs of hyphal knotting.. Should I be worried? I’m in CO so i feel as if the dry climate has a little effect maybe

I'm in CO as well, it took me a minute to figure out how to adjust to the super dry conditions when I first moved out here. Everything dries out very fast, especially now in winter. The easiest thing that I found (aside from setting up a martha) was to get a small grow tent and throw a shelf and cool mist humidifier inside. Play around with using a timer or rh controller so that you can achieve a "normal" relative humidity (30-50%) insided your tent. Keep your tubs on the shelf and enjoy not having to mist 38 times per day to keep your sub from drying out lol.

Obviously misting "38 times per day" is a massive exaggeration lol.. but I just checked, the rh in my home is currently 16%

I normally put grain to sub and allow 4-6 days for colonization at ~80° and then into my martha at ~75° with primordia appearing in another 4-5 days. On average I'm looking at about 10 days with AA+.

Well my tub has been in fruiting conditions at least 15 days and I'm only getting a little bit of the tiny knots that end up being pins...but something seems like its taking longer than it should:/

Just be patient and let it do its thing. It'll fruit when it's ready! Like a lot of the previous posts stated; AA+ is slow to colonize/fruit. The only reason that I'm seeing growth after 10-11 days is because of the agar isolation work that I've done. You are absolutely within the window of "normal" fruiting time for this variety.
