Please help with first grow

Hello all! This is my first grow attempt. I am growing Golden Teachers via XXX as the supplier. I used all in one grow bags. I have some questions:
1. Did I screw up by using soil as a substrate vs a compost substrate grow bag?
2. I know that it's early in the growth stages but wondering if this yield looks average or low.
3. What are these gray shrooms? They clearly aren't GT. Should I toss them?
4. Is there anything I can do to increase the first flush results.
Any help and advice is appreciated. Thanks Shroomers!

You might wanna take where you got your spores from out of the post. I wouldn't say you screwed up, I hate grow bags that are made by others. But anyway, brf yields to me vary so much, it's looking good though. Those get mushrooms look like over ripe mushrooms now, pick when the veil breaks. They are shorties though, I would up the FAE a little just keep an eye on them drying out faster. Is there any foil under your cakes? Is that soil on the bottom? Perlite is preferred.

ATTEMPT!!!!??? I SEE MUSHROOM RIGHT THERE GOOD JOB!!!!
2. I know that it's early in the growth stages but wondering if this yield looks average or low. Looks FUCKING AMAZING! Not gonna win any golden shroom cups but still likely will be the most significant experience and grow and will be memorable your whole lifetime these events!
3. What are these gray shrooms? They clearly aren't GT. Should I toss th They are albinos or some mutant thing PROBABLY. You can convince yourself they are the same mushroom by Smell appearance, sport print color and posting in the ID forum 4. Is there anything I can do to increase the first flush results. If you were going for a SGFC build a proper one is that is some sort of auto bulk fruiting chamber ignore.
Any help and advice is appreciated. Thanks Shroomers!

Those grey shrooms look amazing. I wonder if they could be cloned.

They can be cloned. You are interested in whether they would keep spitting out that color. The answer depends on a lot of things I just learned. I did a search and learned a lot. Much too much to type out but VERY interesting!!

Those white ones are probably albinos. Clone them if possible, if you don't know how yet you can dry them out and save them until you can. Some albinos are more potent.
You still got some shrooms which is great, but next time you give this a whirl you should stick to the PF Tek, brown rice flour and vermiculite for the cakes and perlite for the bottom of the chamber.
Harvest them, they're dropping spores. Also I agree with the first comment, you should edit out the suppliers name.

Took the supplier out. Thanks for the tip.
NOt sure what FAE stands for.
AS for underneath the cakes...... I have perlite covered by foil. I think I screwed up by not letting the cakes build up the mycelium growth for a longer period of time. I waited for 2 weeks. the cakes came out of the grow bags kind of soft. They started to crumble when I took them out and that's what you are seeing on the bottom of the tub.....soil that fell off of the cakes. Next batch I'll let the mycelium grow longer ( 1 month) so that the cakes are solid and more mature before pinning and fruiting.

Taking samples from a dried fruit and getting it out on agar, I wouldn't suggest and doubt that it would work. You can throw in the fridge for awhile if you want to clone it. FAE = fresh air exchange I would suggest going to brown rice flour and making cakes. They stay together better and are meant to be used as cakes or be broken apart and mixed with coir for bulk growing.

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. Im trying to fully wrap my head around cloning for particular traits. Lots of reading ensues...
