Impulse Sealer Leaving Gaps

I've been having lots of problems with trichoderma in my spawn bags lately. I noticed that the trichoderma was developing on the top of my grain, rather than by my inoculation point. I thought my seal might be the issue so I did a test. I made seals on three different settings (starting from lightest to hottest) on a freshly sterilized spawn bag. then I poured colored water into the bag opening to see how tight the seals were. It got through the first two seals.

I might be overthinking this, but could this be why I've been having mold issues? Will bacteria and mold spores push themselves through small gaps in a (relatively) tight bag?
Could this be because of a cheap sealer? I bought a $40 dollar one because way back because I read somewhere on shroomery that most of the impulse sealers on the market are made by the same manufacturer and so there is no need to get a pricey one.
Advice? Thoughts?

I also suspect that improper sealing could be due to an unflat bag at time of sealing.
I've started to let my spawn bags cool down in the pc so they vacuum seal themselves which has helped in producing more uniform and flat bags, but some of them still wrinkle or distort enough to make it hard to keep the flaps completely flat. What should I do?

Get a legit sealer if you're doing bags. I think the brand is AIE . Search 5mm sealer on the zon. It's maybe $250.

Make sure the bag isn't soaking wet when you try and seal it.
Does your sealer have temp settings?

I wait until the PC cools to take out the bags. Even then, there's still a good amount of condensation. Is there anything to be done about that?
And it has a dial ranging from 1 - 7. 1-2 will just come apart immediately or wont even seal properly.
3 - 4.5 (which I've been using) is hit or miss. It will seal but there will be gaps.
5.5 seems to be the best. Anything hotter and the plastic will melt or rip when I try to take it off.

Will do. Thanks.
Is there anything I can do for the bags I have now? Could these tiny gaps be the culprit for contamination?

You can see if they have holes by depressing them with minimal force for a few seconds and listening for air escaping.
I do this after sealing every bag.

I second the AIE 5mm recommendation. 2mm impulse sealers historically have had issues creating reliable seals. You can get an AIE 305 from Pack Secure for a little over $100. The super sweet magnet latch version (AIE 305HIM) is available for $185.
A couple tips I have found that may help:
Wipe the seal area of the bag with ISO to remove any grain lint that can interfere with the seal.
Make sure there's no wrinkles in the bag where it is sealed.
Hold the sealer down for 5+ seconds after it powers off to let everything 'set' in the sealer and don't stress the seal until it's completely cool.
As filthyknees said, apply a small amount of pressure to the bags after sealing to make sure there are no gaps in the seal.

3rd AIE!! You won’t have the problem after it arrives.
Try sealing the same seal a few times. And do two lines of seal one above the other if that is still not working.
