I was told it’s ultra secure but I don’t understand a lot of the features.
Anyone use Binance or BRD to invest in BTC?

What is BRD?
You're probably better off going with something closer, or Canadian based exchange where you can send an e-transfer or fund via your bank account in a faster manner. I'm not that familiar with Canadian exchanges since Quadriga CX pulled an exit scam. I already owned bitcoin after that point and have since used Binance pretty exclusively to trade, however, I am not sure that it is going to be the most efficient method of obtaining bitcoin if you're trying to use funds from a Canadian bank account.
Kraken I believe accepts CAD deposits and has CAD trading pairs - I'm not sure how it works, if you can fund using CAD and have them auto convert it, or if you have to trade with say a BTC/CAD pair which may have less volume , but there is definitely exchanges in Canada that would probably be as fast or faster than Kraken. You might wanna ask on reddit where you're bound to find people with more experience.
To be honest, with the massive rise recently it may not be the best time to invest in BTC, but it's really hard to know. Like in 2017, we may end up with a massive correction soon. It has grown exponentially and nothing rises forever. That being said in the long run it will rise to new highs eventually so as long as you don't buy high and sell low, you should still be able to make gains even if you buy at a higher level this year.
I am really not sure where this thing is gonna end up before stabilizing/trading sideways for a while. It could keep going, but who knows.

BTC will probably go to $50,000 and then over a few months will drop to $20,000. Just my guess, but I would wait to buy in. Buy low and sell high.
Maybe invest in like Norweigin Cruise Lines, Alaska Airlines, Aurora Cannabis, or another stock until then, unless you really feel this is the time to get it on BTC.
I've used Bittrex for years and I haven't had a problem with it yet. Tried Binance and hated it, also I thought they were leaving the USA which is not a good sign, even for Canadians. I buy BTC with Coinbase and send to Bittrex. I'm not sure if you can buy directly from Bittrex yet because I haven't put fiat into crypto for a while.

I actually can't remember why. I think Geo or someone mentioned them so then I looked into it and it seemed like they were putting in a lot of effort to cut expenses and stay afloat. If they do make a comeback then the stock has a lot of room for growth.
Besides that stock, my main strategy for picking stocks lately is find companies that were hit hard by the virus. With the vaccine going around it is just a matter of time before everyone gets back into the world and starts travelling and dining out. After 1 to 2 years inside they're going to be dying for travel and a change of scenery so I predict these stocks will come back stronger than ever.
My other strategy is to let people like Warren Buffet pick my stocks for me. I look at what they're picking and pick one that I agree with. The last was DaVita health stock. I think they do kidney dyalisis, but I don't really even know. So far it has been good and has put my money into "Blue Sky Territory!"

Aurora has a more attractive price to earnings ratio.
I sold my CGC when it got it's second boost, the first from the election, the second from the Georgia Senate runoff. I believe it will take quite a while now for additional significant appreciation. I made a little over 1K in six months, which was nice, but also dangerous because it was my first individual stock purchase, and I don't want to start getting the mind set that I know what I'm doing. I did luck into some good timing.
I'm also moving everything except my 401k into safe or safer things to buy a car. I have about 10k saved and my car is worth about 5k so I can get get a nice used car later this year. I don't want to finance because I have a recent bankruptcy and everybody wants to give a car loan, for 30%.
-------------------- "The Rolling Stones will break up over Brian Jones' dead body" John Lennon I don't want no commies in my car. No Christians either. The worst thing about corruption is that it works so well,

Binance is my favourite centralized exchange, and I've used it since it launched always. Historically they are pretty good when it comes to ensuring users funds are protected. They have been hacked before, but they reimbursed all their users, which is about all you can ask for in that situation.
