Crazy Cyan Fruiting and NOT Green Cyans

It seemed like a good day for an adventure, so I went out to a spot I'd visited about three weeks ago. I must have walked past them last time, but under the low cut bows of a juvenile douglas fir was a monster patch of cyans. It's nice to see a patch make it through a full fruiting without parting tall grasses. Never touched. They were a bit past their prime I think. Who knows if they lose potency with age. They were very big, and numbered almost 200. No new pins.
I found another patch of those unidentified psilocybe. They look kind of green. Psily, yours was this same shroom...no? The slugs in the area were no where to be found..
It's definitely blue green. Not cyans, not baoes or stunzi.. Dunno. DH? MJ again?

hmmm, ours were much darker, and had no veil reminants...
but when cut in half they definitely have a similar look...

Not all have veil remnants. They are very brittle. The sun must have changed the mature ones green. Smaller are very dark.

I see no veil remnant on the big one. You're right though, most do have them. Sorry for blurry images. I can't do indoors. What do you want to call it....?

Those blue-green shrooms are Stropharia aeruginosa.

I don't think so.
His start out deep brown and fade to the light lavender/green color. S. aeruginosa start out very blue and fade to brown/blue.
Borealis-
Did you take a sporeprint?

It was a planted doug fir. The alderchips are mulch used to enrich the soil so that weeds and other invasives don't take hold. They like crappy soil.

Yeah mj, I don't think those are Stropharia aeruginosa either. Stropharia aeruginosa start out a greenish color, the mushrooms he picked started out very viscid with dark brown(almost black) caps and became green once the sun hit them and they were weathered at bit. I see the exact same thing happen with weilii down here in Georgia.

Joshua, Stropharia aeruginosa also has greenish colors to them. I have photographs if i could find them to show.
However, If his shrooms were brown or so and changed to the greenish blue, since his photos were bad, I am assuming then that he has some large specimens of P. cyanofibrilosa. I relooked at the images and it is hard to tell becasue the focus and color is off. Also I noticed what appears to be some kind of annulus remnants ont he stipe.
I would need to see them fresh.
have a shroomy day.

Are you saying that you previously made a positive ID based on a poor photograph and without sporeprint details?
Remember to set a good example for everyone. I hope I'm not being too much of an ass. I do think that it is important to be careful in your method of identification.
Peace out!
Shroom on!

Definitely not fibrillosas. They are a wood lover. Very active though.

The pictures are to blurred for the harvested specimens and the others are wicked looking. I need to see better pictures all the way around before making an identification.
Edit: That mush in the 4th pic looks like Stropharia!!!
